which is pretty weird as it has been free for the last week or so. also a pretty odd choice as it is only targeted to 2-6 years old who most likely dont even know nor care about this gifting app in the first place

Has it? I know Toca Builders was App of the Week a few weeks back. Most of the Toca apps are $2.99 usually, and have been given out for free in the past.

Because it's the 2-6 year olds who normally log into the App Store and purchase their own apps isn't it?

I'm not sure if your post is serious or not. People have kids. People who have the '12 days of gifts' app have kids.

I'd probably agree. But they're all designed to get us to buy more items from the store by getting us hooked. We're probably not Apple's target market as we're not new owners.

As a parent, I now have peace and quiet, so I can confirm that this is an excellent download!

There are still 8 days left. One can't expect all the gifts to be aimed at their demographic.

Day 5 seems to be the movie Home Alone. It's already free here in Austria.

Wikipedia: Home Alone

Home Alone is a 1990 American Christmas family comedy film written and produced by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus. The film stars Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, an eight-year-old boy who is mistakenly left behind when his family flies to Paris for their Christmas vacation. Kevin initially relishes being home alone, but soon has to contend with two would-be burglars played by Daniel Stern and Joe Pesci. The film also features Catherine O'Hara and John Heard as Kevin's parents. As of 2009, Home Alone was the highest-grossing comedy of all time. It spawned a successful franchise, with four sequels and three video games, with the main cast reprising their roles for Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

Does somebody know what it costed before in the iTunes store?

lol at digital prices, I bought from Amazon both 1& 2 in Blu-Ray for $9.94 a few weeks ago

ikr? thats why i will not buy anything digital unless they come up with reasonable prices in the future. it already makes no sense to me to charge more for a HD file or $3.99 for a one time rental like wtf r they kidding me. such a rip off...

sry for getting OT ^^

Shouldn't they give away stuff with a broad range of audience in mind, or are they supposed to just cater to your particular demographic?

I was hoping it was going to be 12 days of Battlestar Galactica themed gifts.
