Indeed. I bought my M5 Pro 16” MacBook Pro yesterday at 9% off. That was the cheapest price I’ve seen yet here, but I don’t think it will go much lower. We know Apple’s component costs are increasing in June. Feels like it’s now or never.

I hate my currency being ~₱61.30 = $1.00 today.

I really wish I kept to my Late 2011 MBP 13" that I bought at ~₱43.64 = $1.00 then moved to a Late 2021 MBP 16" M1 Pro when it was ~₱50.37 = $1.00. Then replace that by 2031.

With it was ~₱40.30 like Jan 2009.

Bought the 24 gig 1 TB M5 Pro when Microcenter had it for 1799. Pricematched and bought it at BB. Ignore these Amazon "deals" on here and check out Microcenter occasionally.

First:
16” Screen adding $500 to the price (list) is beyond greedy.

Second:
Why does it only add $300 to the price for the 36/2 model?
My understanding of that difference is the Pro is optimized for the 14" and the Max is optimized for the 16" -- putting the Max into the 14" requires additional thermal engineering, which costs more -- at the same time, putting the Pro inside the 16" doesn't reduce costs. The asymmetry is the result of the Max 14" thermals costing more, resulting in Apple's standard $200 bump for the upgrade.

M5 Pro 14" = $2,199
M5 Pro 16" = $2,699

M5 Max 14" = $3,599
M5 Max 16" = $3,899
