Maybe there really wasn't ever a deal like that. It seems like the news in scraping the bottom. Now they say it's because of Dre if it doesn't go through. Maybe, just maybe there wasn't actually any deal?

Gee, ya think it's possible that this entire story is complete crap? Where is the proof that any deal was ever on the table? The video proves nothing, neither side has said anything officially, and there isn't even a credible source. This seems to me to be one of the famous Apple rumors that somebody starts and every stinking Apple-related blog on the web picks up on and re-runs.

I can only hope that it's delayed indefinitely.

Yup.

The brand is just that - hollow. The quality of those headphones is ridiculous considering the price being commanded. If it's "what the market will bear" then people should become bullish in questioning the market's real motives, because we are always told that the best products win and innovation and competition lead to the better products always winning.

Just like how Microsoft Windows has been truly above and beyond everything else over the last 20+ years, since it's clearly been the best and no glitzy marketing campaigns, predatory tactics, et al, were ever once employed to boost Windows' sales...
