This will charge your iDevice better than any other charger on the market. It’s the best charger Apple has ever made.

I can't justify the price. That being said some great alternatives have been appearing lately. I say an interesting charge mate that could charge multiple apple product and resently i funded a kickstarter for this airpod case called PowerPod that adds wireless charging to my airpods for a pretty cheep price.

I think the alternatives are the way to go with this one

I like how it took them 6 months to relaese their own product that goes with a key feature of their new phones, and how that feature came as a hidden cost.

I suspect they stagger the accessories purposefully on their calendar so the consumers swallow it more easily.

Something else, Apple should have had the AirPower ready for release along with the AirPod wireless charging battery case before the holidays. That would have been a huge accessory as a selling point for those who are considering to upgrade for those products and could take advantage of the Airpower.

It just seems scattered with the Series 3 Apple Watch and iPhone X/8 already being released, then having the AirPod wireless charging battery case and AirPower being an entirely separate release.
I’d rather see them not rushing releases and then offering something that gets it right...they’ve had a few missteps of late but I can’t fault them for trying to ensure quality, performance, etc.

This thing seems so convenient, but I'm not sure how my favorite iPhone case is going to work with it. I'm guessing Loopy will have to redesign. There are a lot of folks with those pop out grips that will probably have a similar problem.

I’d be (semi) surprised if this was over the $100 / £80 mark. At that price I’d maybe consider it, just for the convenience factor of dropping all of my devices onto the mat when I go to bed.

That’s assuming it doesn’t need items dropped onto 3 distinct locations on the mat, I honestly can’t remember what was said about that. But I’m expecting a drop anywhere solution.

If it does just offer 3 distinct locations, there’s cheaper options available that do that.

If it is one cable going to the pad and charges multiple watches simultaneously I’m in.

That might very well be the case.

Not that I’m doubting you, but what makes you so sure about a Series 4 for this year?
Series 2 - water resistant
Series 3 - LTE
Series 4 - Health

Apple needs to sell the watch on a big announcement. I think Health is the next big thing.
Heart rate, temperature, blood sugar all in one package.
This would be a very nice advancement to the watch

A few rumors surfaced in the past few days:
- refreshed iPhone SE
- refreshed iPad
- wireless AirPod charging case ( maybe refreshed AirPod? )
- AirPower ( I know this was already announced but still... )

Sounds like a March event to me :D

More of a press release like last year.

I would like to see more health features such as blood pressure, sleep tracking and so on i think that would be great.

It would be nice if Apple did black or space grey sometimes.

Also gold on their Apple Watch charger instead of just silver.
[doublepost=1519386279][/doublepost]I wouldn’t buy the mat to charge my Apple Watch. I like night stand mode.

Their price tags are theft. Ludicrous.
And by the way will it be available WORLDWIDE from day 1 or only in Australia, UK and US as the HomePod?

199$ hahahahahahhahahahaha for what??? This technology is so cheap to manufacturer and so mainstream that even 59$ seems to much. I would guess around 39$ if Apple wants to be even remotely competitive with all other brands.

No other technology can currently charge a smart watch on a wireless pad so technically this is new technology

that name is killing me... sound so silly.... should have been called just apple Charge Pad
As others have said, they should have called it Apple Juice :D

I'm sceptical of that $199 pricing. It was based on a third-party listing showing a 999 Zloty price. I'm sure that was just a temporary place-holder price and the actual price will be between $100 and $150 US.
