I gave myself a chance, the 50b rolled over just before I left for work so I jumped on and downloaded a bunch of free apps (I should go back and have a look at what I actually got, lol). Never been lucky with bit prizes like this, so congrats to the winner in advance, enjoy your prize. I'd be very happy with a $500 gift card.

Some lucky SOB just got... a $10,000... Apple gift card. Just to be the person who walks into their local Apple store with that and buys like twenty things and then says, "Just gonna use this, my good man" would be awesome.

It's actually an App store gift card isn't it? No good for buying anything from an Apple store, only apps, music, movies etc online. Should last a while though.

I downloaded apps throughout the morning at random intervals, then several in the 5-10 minutes leading up to the counter. Maybe I'll get lucky. $10,000 is a lot of movies, TV shows and books. I imagine have probably spent almost half that over the last five years on those items so this could take me through 2015. ;-)

Well my only entry for today was Google Hangout's. Looks like I am not going to win :D

I would like to buy my new shiny MacBook Pro with the $10,000 gift card for.... wait.... iTunes :(

Thanks picture

Am I the only one that thinks the iPad in the photo is a little big for an iPad mini???

Anyone know what that nifty looking writing app shown on the photo is???:):):):):)

And will he/she be able to spent a $10,000 gift card at the App Store, Mac App Store, or any other iTunes Store content? Seems like a stupid gift! Why not a gift card to the apple store?

Because this is about the App Store reaching 50 Billion Downloads, and has nothing to do with sales at the Apple stores?

I know but apple is apple and $10000 it a lot to spent on apps and iTunes stuff. My sole point is that apple have made different gift!

You can spend $10,000 in no time.

It's 166 barrels of Smurf Berries! And it will be 5h and 20min of fun due to the $500/15 min IAP restriction.

(Also, and this isn't the reason for limiting it only to the App Store and iTunes, but Apple only has to spend $7,000 to give $10,000 due to Apple getting 30% of every sale.)
