Did anyone ever took Apple Batteries onto their Xbox 360 Controller

I'm saying this because some AA Batteries are much thinner than most AA Batteries if that makes sense

A good move but it's still massively overpriced. 4 years ago when I bought an iMac with BT mouse I also bought a fast wallcharger and 4 3200mAh batteries for £9.99. This is £25. It's not great value for money.

I'm also quite adept at unplugging electronics when they're no longer being used. Take my camera's battery charger. 2 days ago it finished charging. 1.9 days ago I unplugged it. I could probably improve on that time too.

This beats my Powerex MH-C9000 how? Oh yeah, it does not. I don't see cycling, break-in, or refresh and analyze. At best, this is something that you can get at Wal-Mart for 10$.

just stop. if it was priced @ 2x the powerex then you can complain but it's priced less and includes six cells which are probably rebranded eneloops or something made in Japan.

Not everyone has a bag full of cells and requires such complexity for the task.

I wonder what the mAh rating on these batteries are. I didn't see that mentioned anywhere on Apple's site.

Nice

I've been a big fan of rechargeable NiMH batteries for about 10 years. They're great for powering a whole bunch of devices - from keyboards to P&S cameras and GPS units.

I travel a lot, and the thing I like about this Apple offering is that it is very compact. I've had other (higher-end) chargers, and I find that while traveling, the smaller the better. And it's also nice that it is 120/240v. Buying a unit without that feature is a non-starter for me.

The price is also very competitive with the highly rated chargers I've bought over the years. If this package's batteries and charger are reliable over the years (sadly, many are not very reliable! I'm speaking to you, Enegizer and Lenmar!), it's definitely one of the best deals out there.

I'm with the crowd that thinks they sound like rebranded eneloops, or at least use the same technology. I've been using eneloops in my camera gear for the past year. They're great.

"Apple's Battery Charger Sets New Standby Usage Benchmark"

It seems, there IS an Apple product launch that nobody should care about...

Battery charger, standby - iDon'tCare.

(Yet I still made a comment - what a hypocrite I am!)

I think this is a pretty fair deal. If these are indeed rebranded Sanyo Eneloops
(6) plus the charger, you wont need to purchase AA batteries for years. I have had my Eneloops forever and they are rated at 1500 recharges I do believe.
Not bad for 29 bucks!

Surely this is a joke? Excuse my cynicism, but couldn't Apple have a little more decency in attempting to swindle people out of their money? The way they try to justify the product is eerily similar to a satirical piece I was planning (but ultimately gave up on) a while ago: "You can finally break the cycle of buying and disposing of those toxic, single-use alkaline batteries." What? Come on, how much longer does Apple want to continue this ridiculous hyperbole in their promotion? It is as if they are deliberately insulting our intelligence.

Like ZOM ZOM ZOM ZOM ZOMG!!!

Apple has invented the Apple-branded battery!

'Using an innovative, glorious, inspirational and truly magical Apple Battery is the best' - That bald designer dude from Apple.

'If only my liver could recharge with the beautiful new Apple Battery Thingy' - Steve Jobs.

'The battery is today reinvented, thanks to my administration' - Barack Obama.

'Chaos reigned at the 5th Avenue Apple Store today as Apple fans mauled to death an elderly lady who questioned the fuss about the new Apple Battery Charger' - CNN.

All in all I think I still want one though :)

Interesting. Wonder how long it will take before it catches fire? You know it's not an Apple product until it catches fire. :D

I will stick with my Enloop's and my La Crosse charger.

Where did this "rebranded Sanyo Eneloops" get started? I guess we will know when we see the Made In label. Japan or Taiwan: :) China:

I'd be curious as to how these compare with Eneloop batteries and a LaCrosse charger. I just picked up a 10 pack of Eneloops to replace my old and dying 5 year old energizer batteries for $25. The LaCrosse charger is great for correctly charging batteries as well as being able to cycle them.

Some of you are getting way too excited for rechargeable batteries and a charger. Do you guys get out much?

The Apple branded batteries just came out today. But all AA batteries should be the same size.

How? I think it's a great idea as the disposal of batteries by millions is a major environmental issue. I already own rechargeable batteries but they don't hold their charge well. If what Apple states is true, for the price you'd save $$$ from buying batteries and reduce e-waste. Sure it seems silly but if the product is that good, then I give them credit.
