Oh, i was holding on to buy my new MacBook Pro with a gift card here in Spain. They gave you a €250 gift card last year. Maybe I then wait to buy it.

No gift card for a Studio Display? That's too bad... I was waiting for that to pull the trigger.
Should I buy the Samsung instead? By Black Friday it'll be close to free.

I can offer some perspective, I tried them both and kept the Studio Display. The Samsung M8 is a fantastic monitor, and you'll be surprised to know that the image quality was very equivalent to the Studio Display for most applications. The reasons I kept the Studio Display were: 1) It had way better audio, 2) Construction quality.

Just tried, doesn't seem to work. :-( (Yes, my family is actually eligible for the edu disc.)
What exactly did you try? This promotion hasn’t started yet. I looked at the terms of the promotion, and the only relevant restriction I found was

Except for ACMI, this offer cannot be combined with other Apple promotion(s) or financing offers that are directed to individual end-user customers in the Qualifying Location. This offer also cannot be combined with the Apple Employee Purchase Plan or business loyalty pricing.

Education pricing is not a “promotion” and is not explicitly excluded in the terms.

The T's & C on the UK store specifically says it excludes edu pricing

I read about people buying 5 of them. I think you might have to do separate order for each.
Two years ago, I was able to get 4 or 5 cards from Target with separate orders. Last year, since they are paying you $15 ecards from Target themselves, they limited this to 1. Plus I was using Target red card to get the extra 5%. I couldn't figure out how to get it without opening 5 accounts.

What is your source for that?

Can you buy more than one? Last year I couldn't figure out how to buy more than one.

I read about people buying 5 of them. I think you might have to do separate order for each.

A few years back I bought ten $100 gift cards in-store; this was when it was $20 Target Gift Card for every $100 Apple.

Earlier this year I bought eight $100 gift cards online w/$10 Apple Gift cards (Discover had a 5% bonus cashback for Apple Pay and I was also able to stack a unique Target Circle offer -- IIRC it was make 2 purchases over $90 and get $20 back).

Made separate purchases for each $100 gift card in-store and also online. Had no issues using them.

Then use the gift cards with education or military discount to save even more. :)

Terms are different in the U.S. this year.

In prior years, it would say "offer cannot be combined with educational pricing"

Really? Fair enough.

This makes it sound like you can opt for a discount to the same value instead of the card, unless i'm missing something

Don't think that was an option previously

An FYI, Target will be having a sale on Apple gift cards starting 11/23/2023 to 11/25/2023.

Buy a $100 Apple e-Gift Card, get a $15 Target e-Gift Card. Pay with a Discover card and get an additional 5% off. That's 20% off.

Then use the Apple Gift Cards to buy something from this sale. I'm not sure what the limit is. But you've been able to buy at least (5) $100 Apple gift cards in the past during past Target sales.
This is a great way to pay for Apple One or any other Apple subscriptions.

Thanks, I'll be picking up five of these to pay for that during the year and give my wife the Target cards for shopping!

I am trying to get AirPod Max but they hardly have any useful sales anywhere. Meanwhile the brand new Sony headphones are 25% off.

These annual Black Friday gift card offers never include the education store. You have to order off the regular store. You won't be able to combine the education discount and get this gift card. The only time you can double dip in education is the annual back to school promo.

I've bought as many as 10 in store at Target when the promo runs in store. Is it online only?
Just remember you can only redeem up to 8 at the Online Store at Apple so more than that needs to be done in store or from an Apple ID account, IIRC.
