Look at the products. It's all stuff that was released in early 2023 or 2022, or before.

No new macbook pros, no new imac, no iphone 15, etc.

They're just clearing out inventory of stuff that will get refreshed in 6 months.

Mostly but not all. Apple Watch Series 9 is included ($50 gift card) yet it only came out two months ago.

The 15 inch MBA was also introduced in June 23.

Looks more like the GC are on holiday present type items.

I'm in the market to buy 5 Mac Mini M2 base machines...The Apple EDU store has them for $499. Anyone know if they will be on sale for a better price? Or, in the past a particular store beats Apple EDU often?

If you’re UK based and considering a new Mac, check out KRCS as they’re currently offering 10% off for Black Friday, including the latest models and custom configurations.

Much better than what Apple is currently offering here.
Wow, thanks for this heads-up, as this is a great discount. £370 off a £3700 Mac Studio is not to be sniffed at.

I doubt anywhere else in the UK even offers any discounts on Macs, never mind even coming close to this 10% discount??

EDIT 2023.12.05.Tue: the Mac Studio just delivered today; all good! (...now awaiting USB-C kb+tpad )

John Lewis often have small discounts, but only around £50. Better than nothing though!

Very.co.uk if you have a credit account will do 12 months interest free credit and 10% credit back currently on Macs, including the new Macbook Pros.

They do these promotions several times during the year on various Apple lines, iPad, Watches etc. Fairly standard configs for Macs though.

so with iPhone 14 being eligible for a gift card... does that mean the 14 Plus is not included?

JL is typically pretty rubbish TBH.
Very's 10%-off deal looks ok, but configs are either stock or very limited. For instance, Mac Studio configs are only two models.

Amazon.co.uk don't even do Mac Studio upper configs either (a couple of basic configs only), annoyingly.

Anywhere else in UK even offering discounts on Mac Studio configs?

Have you ordered from them before? How reputable and reliable are they?
Sounds almost too good to be true!

KRCS and Very are the only ones I know that do it regularly. It's slim pickings in the Uk, Amazon don't seem to offer the same discounts here that they do in the US

Haven't personally but know people who have, they are legit. They have a few retail stores

Apple list their retails stores on their site as an authorised reseller

Do third-party Apple sellers sell any Macs with more RAM than the base configuration? I have never seen that, but I may be wrong.

B&H Photo sells some custom configurations. They are an authorized Apple seller and they do run sales.

Never had any complaints shopping from them - including doing returns.

I remember the days when Apple couldn’t make their products fast enough at full price around the holidays. $30B in R&D last year and they’ve created nothing that I want. Still rocking an iPhone 11, 2016 MBP, and 2018 iPad Pro.

But the money I saved by not upgrading my Apple gear regularly and cutting useless services like Apple TV and Arcade will go toward a Sony or Samsung OLED this year and Cybertruck next year so I’ll still have my toys. :)

Just curious why LG is not on the Oled list of tv?

Good to have some form of discount/gift card directly from Apple. Too bad it is not available for MacBook Pro

Very. Not online, but have used their Nottingham store on a number of occasions as it’s much closer to me than any actual Apple Stores.

Do you think Apple will give gift cards on the new MacBook Pro in January? I need a comstumized one, but not sure, if I should wait or get it now. My MacBook Pro 2014 is still running ok.

Yep, KRCS are very good - I've used them for repairs. Only had good experiences with Jigsaw too who have premises in Nottingham. KRCS always offer something close to educational discount.

If you're getting a build-to-order configuration for a macbook (i.e. one not available in store) do you get the gift card if the order is placed between those dates, or does it have to be delivered between those dates? Any idea how much the gift card will be for a specific machine?
