I agree, wasn't sure what the senators are thinking by not asking questions regarding location services of a specific device.

The drunk driving checkpoint argument is stupid, how many cities post that on the digital signage boards?

Supposedly that didn't matter (that was Tribble's exact comeback). The hearing is over... Nothing was solved at the meeting (duh). Apple and Google promise to look at the drunk driving apps more closely to see if they should be removed. I also liked how they seem to want Apple to give a similar screen that Google gives for installing apps (you know what the app will access).

Who? How about Scott Forestall, since based on his job title, he is more involved in iOS.

All this hate for Apple, and he never once pointed out that Google sent one of their government lobbyists instead of a software engineer or manager involved in the technology. That's hypocrisy.
