People often think they must be good because they see famous people using them, maybe they don't realise that they are being paid to be seen with them.
Another way of looking at it is if you were looking for the best listing experience then an iPod or phone(any make) would not be what you would pick to play the music. I find the Apple EarPods would be okay for the odd time I listen to music through earphones while away from home. Compared to what you get with others like Samsungs then they are good.
If they are falling out then there is stuff that dancers use to spray on there hands to grip better, if you use that on the EarPods(not your ears) it may help.
When I'm at home I use my Sennheiser Momentum over ears or if I'm on a plane then I use my Bose QuiteComfort.
