I just hope they haven’t ruined it like they have Regent St.

Yeah, new design doesn't always mean it's *better, hope they keep their hands off of the Amsterdam store.

*Example, the old all aluminium cinema displays was better than the new ones with a black bezel, but I must say the X line iPhones are gorgeous, better than the old ones although at the time they were well designed too.

More important than oil companies that ensure the world keeps moving each second of every day?

Maybe it's my bias being a computer tech who in the past has worked for the oil & gas sectors, Alberta healthcare and other parts of the IT industry.

But I Can say IT is Probably the most important and yet proportionally underfunded parts of these industries as we as most others.

if you don't think so just think of how pervasive computers and technology are, if magically they all disappeared one day it would be just behind electricity with how devastating it would be.
Especially when you consider most don't have downtime procedures especially long term.
If they are there is it's to coast till your tech is up again and most young employees (18-30 somethings) were not Even fully trained the old way.

Apple's Covent Garden store in 2015

I could be wrong, but are you quite sure this is from 2015? That MacBook Pro looks like it’s way too thick to be the retina model and the iMac looks like it still has the thicker design from before 2012. Besides, the wallpaper on the laptops looks like the snow leopard wallpaper.

Thank goodness! It’s been super difficult to get Genius Bar appointments in London the last few months, and service wait times have been long.

Can’t wait to see what the new store looks like inside. Regent Street has set high expectations!

I happened to be in London on the day it opened, I queued to get my first iphone and also snagged a cool t-shirt. Can't believe that's 8 years ago now!

Gotta say, this is the prettiest Apple Store in the UK.
Pleased it's getting a makeover though as it hasn't changed much in 10+ years.
Hope they have some OLED TVs to demonstrate the Apple TV 4K as all they used was very very cheap looking LG sets that didn't give a brilliant picture to the ATV and looked out of place next to all of the Apple designs.

Pretty sure it hasn't even been open 10 years yet!

cool... looks like a vintage Victorian times Apple store..

We never have any history..

The building might be nice but the staff are woeful. Go to the Regent Street instead it’s only a short walk away. Seriously awful experience made me ashamed to be so deep in their ecosystem.

Still covered up ...will check back in a week

Still covered up ...will check back in a week

Went past there this morning on way to work and the :"WRAPS" are off......Grand opening is set for 8am on Friday

Obvious change is the HUGE screen for sessions now on the ground floor rather than the first and the phone and watch accessories being located by the displays rather than being on 2nd.....

Looks like they have done a great job

I remember going to my first Apple Store opening 13 years ago, it all seemed so exciting at the time with the prizes and t-shirts. I've been to a couple more since then but the novelty has now gone. I guess I'm less of a fanboy these days because I didn't even bother taking a look in the Covent Garden store the last time I was there.
