Why is IDFA even a thing? Sounds to me Apple is evil for implementing such a thing in the first place. What I do on instagram should not cross over to what I do on Chrome Browser. Does MacOS have IDFA too?

Because revenue from ads is important to 3rd party devs. IDFA is not a problem. The problem is the abuse of it.
