OLED has bad color accuracy, low maximum brightness, high battery draw at high brightnesses. Micro fixes all of those while retaining OLED’s deep blacks.
1. Depends how they are calibrated. I agree with that if we look at Samsung phones. iPhones are great.
2. The brightness is still better than standard LCD screen.
3. Probably much better than LCD + offering much more nits. 1000 to 2000 nits is more than enough. Otherwise your eyes will melt.

4. Burn-in is an issue, but not like 10 years ago. If you are using your screen "normally" you should not have any issues at all. My old Note9 (Got it day 1 back in the hot summer of 2018) has zero burn-in.

You’re right. Apple are fools for investing in micro-LED, and should stick to OLED.

microLED is better. I was even the first telling that in other thread. I'm just saying that the points which I quoted are wrong. You can make bad and good LCD. Same is with OLED. Telling me OLED has bad color accuracy is pure bullsh*t.
 
It seemed weird because I thought OLED was superior tech but it’s because I confused micro-led with mini-led.

Apple transitioned MacBook Pros and iPads to mini led, which is better than lcd but worse than Oled.

But here the Apple watch is already Oled. That’s why it will transition to MICRO led which is future tech superior to every thing.

LCD < Mini-LED < OLED < Micro LED

mini-LED is still better than OLED at color accuracy, burn-in, brightness, and battery life. OLED is only better than mini (but not than micro) in that it avoids blooming: mini can light up or darken regions; OLED and micro lighten up or darken individual pixels (or even subpixels).

I think there’s only one question about micro LED that needs to be answered: Will it use PWM flickering to dim the display?

Most certainly, yes. Even LCD screens use PWM to dim their backlights, that not unique to OLED displays. A variation of PWM is even used on dimmer switches for household lightbulbs. It’s how most lights get dimmed as it’s more energy-efficient and easier to implement than many other techniques.
