Wonder how these compare with quality Bose MIE2 ect.

Right. While we're at it let's compare a Smart car to a Lexus.

For a legit comparison you need to compare in the same price range.

LOL, this thread is hilarious. Apple earpods, bose and dre beats all in one discussion. All crap headphones.

Well, that adds nothing to the discussion.

How about some links to what you actually use so we can compare and shop?

They are much better!

I have been testing the new earbuds for 5 days now and they sound much better than the old ones. I tried the old ones that I got with my iPhone 3 once and have thrown all the ones I reveived with iPhones, iPads and iPods since unopened into a box.

But I will actually use the new EarBuds now when I don't feel like having my big Sennheiser headphones with me.

I don't understand why so many people are calling "meh!" when they haven't actually tried them, yet. But I guess this is the typical "anonymous forum phenomena". And sound/speakers are almost like a religion to some - and it seems impossible to many that Apple earbuds can sound good.

Well, the can now and to me these are the best earbuds that I have used in this price range...

Do users REALLY have a problem adjusting the sound intensity on their headsets?

If you need to clean your headset, you can use a damp cloth and wipe the surfaces and cords. Cleaning in a washing machine is NOT advisable for any headset.

You missed my point, clearly. The old ear buds were painful to have in the ear. They caused pain of the ear without music. The volume of the music was not a contributing factor to the sheer pain these earbuds caused for many. So no, users, such as yourself, should not have a problem turning the sound down. They cannot, however, avoid the design of the buds.

Nice cup of motor oil! :D

my parents speakers (paradigm) are polypropylene - and those are 'budget' speakers . im not sure where cardboard is used in today's home theater speakers. your company makes some nice looking speakers!

I love my Paradigms!

My neighbors don't.

But how much would that cost? My price range was ~$100 and I don't think I'll ever invest much more than that into headphones.

Oh yeah more than that. If you want really good sound though for something you use probably every day, audio equipment is definitely where to direct some funds :). Without custom tips, a lot of people say the base model Shures (which on the street are usually $99) sound pretty good, and their more expensive counterparts are amazing. Search their SE line, most of them have iPhone/Pod controls built in as well.

Really?

$29 vs. Bose

That is like comparing BMW 528i to a base model Ford Focus.

Try a realistic comparison. Perhaps, $40 Skullcandy set to these. Or the Phillips latest buds.

No, it's like comparing McDonald's to a family-style restaurant. One is better than the other but neither are great options if you're interested in fine cuisine.

For my walk around in ears, I use these. Ultimate Ears 500Vi. A little under $100 bucks and they sound fantastic. Not a complete ear seal, (and you wouldn't want that on walk arounds) so I don't get hit by a bus but they are full sound with deep (realistic) bass and a great upper register. iphone controller enabled.

For my pro in ears (the ones I DJ with) I use these Shure 535.About $500 and they are worth every penny. Great lows, mid, highs, everything, perfect seal.

I do want to point out that none of these in ear phones, and none that anyone would compare would be good with out the proper seal. It is the #1 sound improvement factor. I know people that have put in ear tips on the cheap stock iphone headphone and the swear by them.

I just hate that the iphone phones are white. My phone is black, why are they white? I'll use them at the gym so if they break I won't care.

I'm using an EarPod right now and was very pleasantly surprised by the sound quality with decent bass and midrange--it's not going to equal my Klipsch Image S4i, but then, the Image S4i costs over three times as much.

It's especially good on the spoken word, and efficiency is not bad--you only need a tad more volume level on my 4G iPod touch to get the same sound volume level I normally use on my Image S4i.

Forget what an audiophile will say. I've been using this for five days now and it really sound great. I've got all sorts of headphones, in ear, over the ear and this sound fantastic! I have ultimate ears, shure, klipsch, bose, sony balance armature, but not beats by dre. Dont like that :)

They very comfortable, you can hear all the lows, mids, high just like what klipsch in-ear offers. Even if people say they're cheap, they really sound nice. If you hear your music not sounding good, rip it on a higher bitrate or download music at least 256kbps to enjoy the sound.

But in the end. It is still what the end user prefers to hear. Audiophile or not. These buds really sound great. Maybe some people will say nah because it's psychologically telling their mind that they are cheap, so it will not sound good but they are!
