I just realized that the education discount is no longer around 10% like it was in the past:

On the base M2 Macbook Air model, the education discount has been reduced to 8.3%,

while on the base M2 Macbook Air model with 512 GB, the education discount has been reduced to 6.6%.

It has always been around 10%±1%, never as low as 6.6% like currently. Even the apple education ssd upgrade prices are $20 higher than m1 ssd upgrade prices with the release of the new M2 Macs.

It hasn't been 10% in many years. It's typically a flat amount discount, varying by product.

Rarely has it been a fixed percentage. It usually just translates to $100 to $200 off with further discounts on the memory, storage and AppleCare upgrades.

Military Discount is nice and using my Apple Card adds another 3%. One point in military discount is that you do not get 0% financing as an option.

It depends on the product, I don't think it was ever a fixed %.

M1 iMac = 4%
M1 Mac mini = 7%

It has been a $100 discount on Macs priced at $1000 or more. It has never been a discount of 10 percent.

I bought a MacBook Pro about 8 or 9 years ago with educational discount in the UK, and it was exactly 10% (all Macs were 10% off, and not rounded off to the nearest pound, a calculated 10% off). Back then it also included AppleCare for free.
