Yeah I Chatted with apple and both they said that yes it is included with the education store, the extended holiday returns..but I will call the online store to verify that before I order..also, the cash back, I know now its at 3 percent, what are the odds that the increase that to 6 percent..I know before it was a glitch but I read in the past they did it too for iphones, etc
If i order and pay from the online store but choose pick up from a retail store is this extended return policy also valid? I would assume yes but I wanted to double check if anyone knows for sure here.
It's a little annoying that those who got their 14/16" MacBook Pros today get essentially 2 extra months to decide whether to keep or return them vs. those who got them the previous 6 days, but since I got the extra 3% cash back "glitch" I'm not likely to return and repurchase my base 14" just for the extra flexibility.
the supply chain shortage is real!!!Woohoo!
Now I'm really glad I waited an extra 30 minutes when ordering my 14" M1 Max on day 0 and got pushed into the November delivery batch! ?
I now have more than two months from delivery to contemplate:
1. Do I really need/want a MBP, or should I just stick with my completely silent and extremely portable MBA (along with my desktop) until the MBA is refreshed next year? (could really use more monitors/ram/ports...)
2. If I do need/want a MBP, do I really need the M1 Max?
3. If I do want the M1 Max, would the 24C GPU configuration with either 64GB of ram or more storage ($200 for an extra 512GB... ?) be a better, more future proof choice?
4. Could I possibly live with the base model, despite feeling like 16GB on the MBA often lets me down (maybe it's actually the overhead from DisplayLink...)
5. Is the battery life on the M1 Max MBP acceptable vs the M1 MBA?
6. How the software system around the M1 Pro/Max is going to evolve.
All in all, it's going to be an exciting holiday season for me. Thanks for the early Christmas present Apple. Merry Christmas to you too! ??
But most youtubers they just sell the the review uniteYouTubers rejoice. You now have almost an extra 2 months to test and review your Apple products (i.e. MacBook Pro with M1 Pro and M1 Max) before returning them for a full refund.![]()
According to Apple's Returns & Refunds page:Sorry if this is already answered somewhere, but I presume returns can be initiated until 8th January, rather than the items needing to be received by Apple by the 8th?
Standard Return Policy
If you are dissatisfied with an item, you can request a return through Order Status. For eligible iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch and third-party products, you have up to 15 calendar days from the time you receive your item(s) to initiate a return.
Doesn't hurt to try. Apple is pretty lenient at times. If my purchase for my iPhone was on October 28th ( a few days shy) do you think apple will allow me to exchange for another phone? was a gift, and she finds it too large..
It was November 1st last year. What about this year?
I don’t think so.
Apple TV delivers 11-4-22 doesn't it?That could possibly be why there isn't an extended return policy announced for this year. That isn't to say that they won't have an extended return policy, but the previous year's policies were based around new Macs and other hardware that were announced in October and were shipped starting in November, which ran into the holiday season. This year is different because nothing has been announced that would have such a shipping delay, such as new hardware.
BL.
It'll return, probably this coming weekHope the holiday return policy "returns" this year. Two weeks is simply not enough time in this busy season to evaluate a product.
