I lived in Japan for ten years. Studied Aikido at the Hombun dojo world headquarters and went to school for Japanese language 4 hours a day 5 times a week for two years. I think I can safely say I have had my little slice of experience with Japanese culture.

Heck I have even eaten and drank at the bar in the film more than a handful of times. I lived about 6 blocks from it in Shinjuku Rokuchome.
So you had a different experience than I did with all of my trips to Japan. ok.

Possibly because I lived there full time. Lost in Translation would appeal to people who aren't quite over the novelty aspects of Japanese culture. It came out when I was living in Tokyo and I wasn't the only ex pat that didn't seem to get it. Maybe I will try it again now that I am back in the states.

Nah, i don’t need another streaming startup that has one or two gems and loads of movies and shows you can or have see(n) everywhere.

I think the only streaming service who will be able to compete with Amazon and Netflix will be Disney. Netflix is for the simple minded and teenagers, Amazon for those who want to see more than marvel/dc nonsense and Disney is for those who want good entertainment without violence and nudity.

But Apple, who needs Apple? I don’t order more than two services at once. Got Amazon Prime Video and look forward for Disney. One or two times a year i order Netflix for the one or two shows a year that are worth watching there.

I wouldn’t bother with amazon except they include it with prime. Apples would have to be included with something as well. What could that something be? Nothing comes to mind. Including with Apple Music doesn’t help Apple. Maybe if they made this stuff free for annual or biannual iPhone upgraders.

But even then I can’t see any desire here (to pay or even pay higher Apple Music) for apples media junk unless they have something going on we’re not hearing about.
