What, pray tell, does that have to do with self-driving vehicles? No, they’re not.

All of the self driving tech software requires an operating system platform to run on.
QNX is the market leader due to its real-time OS design.

It’s what you’ll find at the heart of virtually all car software right now.

First, no legal conclusions have been drawn. Second, it's entirely possible the fault, if there was any, lies on the pedestrian. Why is that causing so much confusion?

No confusion, friend, only wariness. It is eye-opening to see how consideration for technology has now become more important than that for human life. Like, so much willing to support the new tech, turn a blind eye to its defects in the name of progress, etc., whilst someone dies in the process and oh, it was probably her own fault anyway. I wonder how much people would be enlivened if one of their own family members was mown down by one of these automated vehicles and then they turn around and say there is no case for you, nobody to prosecute, that loved and trusted family member of yours should have just kept out of the way, even though she was out of the way.

Maybe you're replying to someone else, but I'm pretty certain I didn't say one way or another whether there was a legal case or where blame (if any) may lie. Gut emotional responses are no way to determine facts or make policy. Any death is tragic and heartbreaking, but to start throwing around accusations without facts is just idiocy.
