Well what do all these people who go to these premiers have to say about the series? Just the fact that there was one, tells me nothing! What the reviews on them are would tell me much much more. What do these people do after they see the movie.? Go have a cocktail then go home to bed? What is the point here?

What are those over 100 countries? why apple dont provide the list for customers know...maybe they will buy apple product if they know they will have 1 year free

It seems that there are similarities to this show and the Netflix movie Bird Box starring Sandra Bullock. A vast majority of the population is wiped out and of the remaining survivors, a majority are blind (the blind couldn't see the evil that was killing everyone, so they were "immune" ).

Hopefully, this show is much better than Bird Box.

There is no way these 🍎TV+ shows should be costing the absurd amounts claimed. It's clear Apple has no clue of the true economics of Hollywood & is just throwing money around like a horny idiot in a whorehouse.

It looks like a chunk of the money was spent on the custom promotional set above (which will probably be thrown away)

Really going to town with the premiers. I hope apple can keep it up, it's a lot of content to create/fill. Are they going to do what Netflix does and rent studio content?

This could be fun for about 3 episodes as the show explores the desperate, creative, and clever ways that a blind population struggles to survive. But after the novelty has worn off, I don't "see" where this could go. I guess the newly born kids with vision will be persecuted and the show will serve as a proxy for not-like-me-phobia, but I'm not sure that's enough... It's a theme that has been explored many, many times before.

They weren't invited for this or For All Mankind. It was through a agency called 1iota, who typically fills audiences for game shows and reality TV with live crowds. But yeah I fully expect a heavy NDA.

Perhaps I'm missing something here.

If there was a world/village etc, totally full of blind people.
There would be mess, clutter, human waste etc all over the place.

No ?

this is the standard 'Netflix' rate/playbook everyone is using - Deadline is reporting that all Disney+ plus are also in the 15M-25M per episode range (even non-super power Hawkeye) - what is happening is that they are buying out all residuals and getting all the licenses in perpetuity - I am guessing this is why Apple will be making their own shows internally - this should save them some money

**** still stinks, my man. And if there's just garbage in your way, you can trip over it. Or not be able to find what you are looking for. There's more of a reason to be organized when you're blind.
You'd have a stronger argument if they were all in a convertible stopped at a traffic light

You haven't seen what goes into making a Game of Thrones kind of production. The logistics to make something like that is insane. When a network makes a show like this, that's how much it costs.

Just in case some have not seen the trailers (or read much about the show).
I am curious how they determine that infants are able to see. I could understand figuring it out once the children can vocalize, but not sure how they would do it for an infant.

Safe to assume the white female is the love interest of the black male in this show. Methinks we’ll be seeing a LOT of those pairings in Apple programming if their advertisements are anything to go by.
Safe to assume you have a problem with interracial dating? Do you analyze all television series for such upsetting activity or only Apple’s? Should black males only date black females in Apple’s shows?

Methinks you might want to avoid any TV or film from the last 50 years or so if you are disturbed by interracial couples. I don’t think it’s an Apple problem.

Christian's jacket looks really terrible. Did the stylist decide "oh heck, let's go with stuff out of the garbage for this one" and send them on their way?
Side note, that background looks mighty expensive... wonder if apple is carting that thing around to various premiers.

Instead of speculating, why don't you give some facts on the economics? If you can't, don't bother posting this nonsense.

The truth is, you have no way of knowing how much these shows "should" or do cost for that matter. Apple has spent $6B, but hard to nail down exactly where the money goes.

Why not ask NFLX? They just sold another $2B in junk bonds to raise money for content...because this is expensive.
