use Little Snitch (on Mac) or Zone Alarm (on PC) you can block:
"www.ad*"
"ad*"
"www.ad.*"
"ad.*"
"www.ads*"
"ads*"
"www.ads.*"
"ads.*"

and on Cydia you can use Firewall IP to do the same.

That should get you started, then just look for other addresses you are getting ads from, or use google for a more comprehensive list.

For once, it wasn't that bad checking out a *shutter* advertisement.;)
 
Who in their right mind thinks this is a good thing???

I didn't pay good money to buy an iPod and purchase apps to be subjected to advertisements.

This doesn't benefit me the customer - only Apple and app developers.
So what your saying is that Ads are a bad thing all together?

You didn't pay good money to buy a TV and purchase Cable/Satellite Service to be subject to advertisements.

You will get free apps that once had a cost with a Ad banner, and if you don't like apps then pay for it, it's not like if you had to keep the ads in your paid app.

Free apps - iAds
