So what are the current browser requirements? Presumably, Safari 5.1, IE9, Firefox 5.0, and IE8 coming. What about Safari 5.0 for Leopard support, Safari 4.x or Firefox 3.6?

iCloud.com supported browsers:
- Safari 4+
- Chrome
- Firefox 4+
- IE 8+
- Opera
- MobileSafari

Is there any way to get to the "sad cloud" page?

Alternate "Unsupported Browser" Page

Here's what I got in Opera 11.50 on Snow Leopard. It's funny that an iOS-like graphic was displayed even though I was using Opera on a Mac. (Note that I may have modified my User Agent at some point, so you may not get the same results.)

So why is the JavaScript one a nerd? I get the Java/coffee, but why the taped glasses. :p
B

Because understanding the message and resolving the problem requires that you know how to get into your browser’s preferences and enable JavaScript — you might even have to have an idea of what JavaScript is. The idea is that the average user doesn’t really understand that sort of thing; it’s technical, therefore means it’s nerdy.

By the way, I LOVE these. Really happy that Apple decided to infuse these with personality AND it's a throwback to the original Macintosh. Love love LOVE!

Hee. These are cute. Thank you to the person who made the wallpaper with all of them. Love it!

I'm not sure, but I think a specific browser may have been left off of that list. Interesting, given that another specific one has been included.

How enemies change.

Question is.... do you get that error page if you try to go to icloud.com with Chrome? Are they specifically excluding the Chrome browser or are they just failing to mention it if you go to iCloud.com with a different unsupported browser. Refusing to promote Google's browser is one thing -- refusing to allow access to Chrome users is something else entirely. Both are within Apple's rights, but the latter is a pretty jerky move against the users and likely would be met with much backlash.

DIY iCloud Fridge Magnets

Thanks to pewra for the icons. I put them in one png for printout to make my own fridge magnets.

It works in Chrome. They're just not promoting it.

Where's the one that says cheerfully 'Sorry, we've lost your data to faceless hackers, but it's ok we managed to profile you and sell that profile to equally faceless marketeers before your information was stolen'

Thats the one you will see on the soon to be released "gCloud".
