Was just starting to warm up to the 12.9" Pro, but waiting to see what version2 will bring in enhancements.
If they try and push this past $499, I'm out. Especially since we all know that will buy you 16GB.
It's a 12" 5mp screen. That costs.
Why is the 27" iMac so much more expensive than the 21.5"?
if it's $499, it's going to be awesome...
I´m guessing there will be a price drop on the iPad Pro, Apple needs more volume on these to get devs interested.
It´s basically been $100 - 150 off since launch so I´m guessing they're not flying off the shelves..
I´ve seen quite a lot of returned units in stores and a lot of youtube reviews that end with: "Maybe next Rev."
They're going to give up on something that has been on the market for less than a year and hasn't had any major software updates yet? Why?If anything... I saw the 9.7" having 3D touch support, but Apple Pencil & Smart Keyboard support. At this point... I'm starting to think that they will perhaps give up on the 12.9" in favor of the 9.7" if they go this route.
Not for THIS purchaser. I love the huge screen on the 12.9" iPad Pro.If all this rumouring pans out ... there may be buyer's remorse for a lot of those 12.9" iPP purchasers.

lord ... theres at least one unnecessary product in each category
id personally get rid of the numbers and just start all over with
iPhone Mini iPhone iPhone Plus / iPad Mini iPad iPad Pro
Or alternatively a Macrumors where no one has a problem with anything.without first world problems there would be no MR.
The price tag of the 21.5" in comparison to the 27" iMac is justified by the 5k screen.. As well with the option of dedicated graphics. The 21.5 inch doesn't offer that.
I understand the 12.9" has bigger screen. I get that. But for $300 bucks. Normally Apple market their products where the larger screen has better features. Apple tend to differentiate it to the point that get customers to gravitate toward the larger screen.

I hope so, who doesn't like consistency?Heading to simplified product lines...
iPad and iPad Pro.
MacBook and MacBook Pro.
Yes?
Nah, I think entry will be 32GB @ $599/128GB @ $699 WiFi only or possibly 64GB @ $699/128GB @ $799. If all this is true, there's no way this Ipad Pro Mini or whatever is going to be at the same launch price as the Air 2.
The New iPad 7 Air 3 Pro Mini with Retina HD Display SE
Because they can't justify $300 more for just a larger screen? Unless they're dropping the price of the 12.9" iPP?What's apples justification for bumping the entry price up $100? Just so you have the ability to spend another $100 on a pencil or $130 on a keyboard cover?
Their previous models have tended to keep the same price and add features or performance. So that would suggest they'd keep the pricing the same.
This **** literally only happens here.Awesome, I was holding out for the "iPad Air 3" hoping for apple pencil support. Love the Pro now, but its just too massive...
I'm somewhat surprised. Not the branding... but of the Apple Pencil & Smart Keyboard Support.
Reason being... price tag of the iPad Pro is justified by the Apple Pencil & Smart Keyboard Support. What is the justification of the 12.9" iPad Pro price tag in comparison of the supposedly 9.7" iPad Pro? A $300 price hike just for the bigger screen? Granted the 9.7" starts out at 16gb and the 12.9" starts out at 32gb...
I just don't understand the logic behind it. People aren't looking for better hardware... they are looking for an iOS geared to take better advantage of the iPad screen real estate And perhaps support for USB-C.
