iPad Air, now that's a catchy name I hadn't considered before. Whether this rumor pans out or not remains to be seen, but I really do think there is a market for a smaller iPad at a reduced price. I'd like to see Apple do this one.

Isn't there some sort of "quiet period" that kicks in after the quarter ends and before earnings are announced? I don't think they can do product announcements during that period, but it may not take effect until they file their quarterly financial report with the SEC.

I'd like a new iMac update because we need them at work.

I'd like a new MacPro update because I know MacPro-users are very unhappy.

I'd like a release of iOS 6.0.1, just to address issues with the App Store not working right if you have too many apps tied to your account.

Not necessarily, we only saw so many iPhone 5 leaks due to the mass production that was required. An iPad mini wouldn't sell nearly that many, and would be closer to the iPod touch in production. We've seen about as many leaks for the iPad mini as we did the new touch.

They say if there is smoke, there is a fire brewing some where. Way too many rumors about a Mini iPad not to make it happen IMO. October is the perfect month to launch since it's right ahead of the holiday season. As for part leaks, they might not know what they have or they might not be paying attention. People were actively looking for the iPhone 5, that's why it was found. We got no advance notice about the Retna Macbook Pro, so they might have found a part supplier who kept quiet parts wise.

buy one then!

Why would you buy one now if you are expecting it to be updated pretty soon? Did you buy an iphone 4s last month?

Is there much price difference between the a6 and a 32nm a5? If it has an a6 it would be more powerful that the current ipad

rumored invite send out date for a rumored event?

hilarious (when i read from AI first and here next).

I will get one if it with in the price ($299 to $349) range.

I wonder if Apple can pull all the sales in the next 12 weeks or so (for this quarter)?

remember the new iPod touch not even on sale yet.

I sure hope we will see some new iMacs, I badly need a 27" for my new business

If you badly need one shouldn't you just buy one? With what is likely to be a spec bump, is it worth inconveniencing your business for an undetermined amount of time?

Apple is working on an iCommunicator, it will clip on your collar and allows you to make phone calls. It will be a shift in voice communication, using siri to voice control it.

The iPhone will lose its voice dialing functions transcending into a larger than iPhone device to carry along as your agenda, office, video conferencing , browsing device. The iphone screen is just too small and not very usefull. The device form factor will be extinct shortly.

And gaming will shift into occulus rift headset like devices. No one will play games on flat screens 10 years from now (unless you will be playing retro games)

It's time to rethink form factors and make specialist devices for specific functions. The generic pc and laptop form factors are dead, you only don't know it yet.
