Sounds like an overly energetic way to read ebooks, not to mention rude towards your partner, unless you really meant 'lie on the sofa'.

And if you did mean 'lay' then TMI. ;)

Depends on the ebook involved, some may be instructive or conducive to the sutuation.

The retailer is listing sticker prices, too: for the WiFi-only flavor, €249 buys an 8GB model, €349 snags 16GB, €449 for 32GB and €549 scores 64GB of storage. Looking for a slab with cellular connectivity? Stack an extra €100 on each of those prices.

The listing doesn't have anything official to say about US greenbacks, but the included 19% tax evens up the dollar and euro quite nicely, giving us a reasonable idea what kind of pricing we can expect to see in the states.

With the currency conversion and the 19% VAT added, the price will be on par with USD.

8GB: $249
16GB: $349
32GB: $449
64GB: $549

I know everyone wants to compare it to the Ipod Touch, but the Ipod Touch costs more to make. The $299 Ipod touch has a more expensive screen, more expensive body, more expensive camera and probably twice as much Flash (32 GB vs 16 GB), so it should be more expensive. Its going to be the same price or a little more then the 16 GB Ipod Touch, which given that even that Ipod Touch has a better screen, isn't that surprising.

I guess we will find out soon enough. If they have an 8 GB model, then the price could be $249. We'll see.

Wait, since Steve Jobs died, does this guy think he can just use Jobs' short 'yep" and 'nope' answers and we would all forget that was Jobs' style? Or am I missing something? Maybe Jobs stole those from this Jim guy?

I think it's creepy he's aping Steve's lines...

And for the record, I see this guy wait until everyone else puts their necks out on the line and says 'such and such a date' then he comes along when it's pretty well known, and says 'yep.'

For me, NOPE, I'm not buying it. He's reading MacRumors like the rest of us.

Jim Dalrymple has been doing this since long before Steve died. He says both Yep and Nope, and since he has started doing it, he has never been wrong. He is joking about people betting against him and losing money on Twitter yesterday, which is funny given people on macrumors still think we arent getting a Ipad Mini (we are), and that its not being announced on Oct 23 (which it is).

I've never seen this guy break any news.... always waiting until the last minute to take the credit for "knowing" it all along. Something sounds fishy with this guy....

Then you haven't been paying attention. Search for his name on just these forums and you'll see whenever he posts he is right. In the last two years, he correctly called the movement of the iPhone announcement to fall, that there would be no special announcement in Feb of this year despite all the rumor mills saying there would be. That the iPhone 5 and the iPad Mini event would be two events one in September and one in October of this year, that despite other rumors Google had not submitted a standalone maps to the App Store, despite what several were saying (which Google has confirmed is correct) and last week he said we weren't getting invitations on Wednesday despite everyone looking for them. He says the iPad Mini announcement is on the 23rd, that means tomorrow we should be seeing the invitations, and you can join the majority of those on this board and realize that he's always right, or be grumpy and think something is fishy about the guy who does controlled leaks for Apple.
