Bad design around the camera bump. A big advantage of a case is to level out the back of the phone so it doesn't rock and roll when you set it down on a table. This case just amplifies the camera bump. Even worse, the open edge around the camera just scrapes lint from your pocket and collects it in the camera "pan". I bought a cheaper third party case that covers over the bump leaving little holes for just the lenses. So much prettier and practical.

have they updated the build quality on these? I bought a 12 Pro in November 2021 and I’m on my second silicon case and it’s falling apart. It’s going to take me 3 cases to get through to a 15 Pro this fall.

Sucks because the look and feel makes it my favorite case.
Were you able to get it replaced under the one year warranty?

Ever the 12 line of silicone cases (first with MagSafe) the quality went down heavily & I stopped buying them.

Whatever happened to Apple’s white silicone cases? They seem to have dropped them out with iPhones 13-14? A pity, as they look great against the black screens and go well with most wallpapers.
The soft white silicone case for the 11 still looks really great

I have to say, I've not been terribly impressed with my Apple silicone case. I previously had one of their leather cases, and that thing took a BEATING over several years, and just developed a nice patina. Ultimately broke near the lightning connector.

Replaced it with a Pela case, which has also been super durable.

Bought an Apple silicone case when I got my 13 mini, thinking it would be at least as durable as the leather case, but less than 6 months in, it's already chipping on the inner corners, and the phone literally never leaves the case.
Yeah they’re pretty terrible since MagSafe was introduced on them. I’ve seen reports on Reddit that you can get it replaced under 1 year warranty (specifically for the case) so be sure to do that. 50$ for a 6 month case is ridiculous lol

I had 2 as well which got destroyed by simply stashing the phone in pockets (no drops), they are a shameless rip off.
It is not just silicone. Firstly it fits the iPhone really well, the buttons are easy to press and it also has a soft lining on the inside and an extra MagSafe magnet. I have tried a few other cheaper cases, but always run into a problem with the fit, finish or yellowing for transparent TPU ones. So for me they are well worth it.
Agree but they fail miserably at protecting the device while falling apart with very basic interaction, which is completely tragicomic considering it's price.

Come on Apple, make an effort. Only fruit colors, this is clearly a lemon 🍋

New year, same basic spring refresh colours... Apple please switch it up a little. Also desperately waiting for a grey case!

perfect time as I need (want) to change cases. Now, to get Iris or Olive.. hmm..
I wish there was an Iris color in the leather case. I would jump on that immediately. I really dislike silicon cases, but I'm considering the Iris.

No, they're different. Last year was:

In the standard Solo Loop band option, there are new colors as well, including Nectarine, Lemon Zest, Mineral Green, and Eucalyptus.

Bright Green, Lemon Zest, and Blue Fog are new additions to the Sport Band. Lavender Gray, Nectarine, Oat Milk, Blue Jay, and Midnight are all replacing the previous colors offered with the Sport Loop.

The green, yellow and blue cases from last year look very similar to this years. Maybe just a very slight difference. Same cases new name. I did love the Bright Green sports band from last year, would be nice to see that in the iPhone case.

I have the Succulent case on my 14 Pro Max since October, and I can confirm Apple has resorted to using cheap silicon materials for their recent cases 😠. I had the Sunflower on my 12 Pro Max and it looked spotless throughout the 2 yr period. The rate at which the recent cases degrade over a short period of time is alarming🤔

Lame, muted colors.

Seems their plan is working.
