have they updated the build quality on these? I bought a 12 Pro in November 2021 and I’m on my second silicon case and it’s falling apart. It’s going to take me 3 cases to get through to a 15 Pro this fall.

Sucks because the look and feel makes it my favorite case.

Kind of a stupid business model. Release the device and then WAIT 6 months before you release your cases for it? Oh and the new version is not that far off. SMFH

It can be annoying, lol...but it's just their mid cycle refresh. The general public buys iPhones year round, so for Spring, there's usually a new color, new cases, watch bands, etc. Tech fans will scoop up newly released phones during the first few weeks/ months. But to give things a boost between the next release, they'll offer a refresh.

This happens every year, but I'm surprised there wasn't a new mid cycle pro color (in blue or green).

What on Earth? These cases are only designed to increase AppleCare sales.

Hit 👎🏻 Disagree if you’d ever consider buying one of these. Lol.

Right? I'm about to pick up my 14 Pro and I'm really struggling with quality case options, especially that here in Hungary the silicon case costs about $70, the leather about $85.

For my current 12, I used up 3 cases in 2 years. My first Apple leather case wore out really quickly and 2 Apple silicon ones fell apart, just as you said. The same for my wife.

If you are buying directly from Apple or an authorized reseller, make sure you hold the seller to the warranty for the cases.

In a similar predicament of being frustrated with Apple’s case quality, i decided to get my GF a otter box Figura Case through the Apple Store as it also features MagSafe & was the same price as the apple silicone case. (This is the silicone figura not the somewhat transparent one) and it has held up a lot better. 6 months later it looks brand new. I’m sure you can probably find it cheaper than the Apple Store as well.

I said it’s my favorite case. I love the look and feel. So yea, I’m going to continue to buy it unfortunately. I’ve never bought one full price from Apple though, always find a cheaper one on Amazon or eBay or somewhere.
