Amazon today introduced a new round of discounts across Apple's Clear, Silicone, and TechWoven Cases for the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air lineup. Although the largest discount in this sale is about 10 percent off, these are some of the first notable cash discounts on these brand-new cases, so if you haven't purchased one yet it's definitely a good time to do so.

Are the silicone cases still the same ones that start peeling after a few months or have they finally moved to a more solid material?
I don't know but haven't bought one since my 12PM (bought a year later when the 13 came out), and it started peeling around the charging port even though I mainly charged wirelessly. Maybe it was from catching the case when I would swipe up from the bottom of the screen. But I know what your mean and I never bought another one.

I wonder why Apple didn't release a wallet in TechWoven and is keeping the FineWoven around for those? After feeling the TechWoven case I was about to order a new wallet in a different color thinking those would have the new texture. I ended up getting the Satechi wallet stand case instead which seems decent so far.

Bring back Apple Leather cases!

The garbage coating they use to color it anything other than black peels right off in no time.

I had a brown one on my iPhone 6 that had a wonderful patina after years of use. The blue one on my iPhone 12 looks like crap. Brown used to be brown through and through, but it too is now a tan coating over black. The leather cases sucked and I won't miss them at all.

I haven't been genuinely pleased with an iPhone case since the original, uncoated Speck Candyshell on my iPhone X. It, too, was canceled.

Am I the only one who doesn't like covering my iPhone with a case?
no one LIKES covering up their iPhone with a case... but if you don't it will inevitably be broken or damaged, perhaps the very day you bought it. I had a young coworker who never had a case who's phone always looked like Hell and got replaced quite a few times as we have concrete floors

I couldn't bring myself to spend $70 CAD on the silicone case this year, so I ordered a $20 CAD one off Amazon with good reviews. Arrives tomorrow, but i'm looking forward to comparing it to the Apple one.

I don't like cases but these phones are so slippery, I have no choice but to use one. I have been using Pitaka's Ultra-Slim cases and they get me close to the bare phone feeling while still providing better grip.

Apple should have spent 5 additional minutes on the design of the silicone and Techwoven cases to cover the entire camera “mountain”…with cutouts for the lenses, flash and lidar….kind of like the 3rd party cases that are $10-$20 and protect the ever robust aluminum and amazingly durable coating!!!!
