There is a gigantic difference between how often it really happens, and how often people think/claim/pretend/meme it happens.
Are you suggesting that the rate of occurrence is acceptable because criminal behavior by police officers occurs less than some arbitrary threshold?

Police Departments have to publish the data. I have personally read through multiple police department published reports and done my own math. It happens A LOT.

WHY it happens is what people are arguing about, not IF it happens. I think your contrary attitude is misplaced, harp on people for the WHY and not the IF or risk sounding uninformed.

Of course not. That isn't reality, realistic, or comprehensible at all.
It isn't comprehensible that people who are paid to protect and serve should always protect and serve everyone? Should we also use your liberal application of right and wrong when approaching non-police officers?

"I am sorry but you are petite, but it isn't realistic for you to expect to not be raped each year."
"I realize children under 4 years of age can't defend themselves, but I can't comprehend a situation where they wouldn't be beaten a few times a year."

It's simply unacceptable to say 'well, it's hard to stop people who have power from abusing it, so we just aren't going to assume they aren't.' Cause that's what you seem to be saying. It's ok some people are getting hurt as long as it isn't being reported excessively.

Ridiculous.

They can't handle the power they have already been given, so why would we offer them additional chances to abuse their position?

Sorry but that is the real world. You cannot stop every instance of bad from occurring. Efforts need to be adjusted accordingly.

You’re right. We can’t stop bad things from happening so long as the people way pay to do that job are doing the bad things.

Seems the airline industry has been doing a fine job weeding out bad apples. What do you do when your grocery checker yells at a customer, treats them like garbage? You fire them.

What do we do to police officers? We give them paid vacations and they can come back to work whenever they feel like.

Generalizing. This is not reality.

This barely constitutes a coherent sentence, but I still know what you meant and this is still a gigantic fabrication.
