If you're running your business on a Mac Mini, you've got bigger problems.
Why, exactly, is that? Businesses need a lot of things - like accounting, word-processing, email, etc. - that work just fine on a Mac mini.

I wonder how many of these get sold every month.
No, Mac Sales per unit are going down while iPad unit sales are increasing as more and more home users see no need for a computer anymore. The Mac has been skewed toward business/pro customers. Thats probably not changing any time soon. I don't see millions of people who only have an iPad RUSHING to buy a new mac mini or MB Air. Tech habits are shifting.
And the 2014 Mac Mini model was really just a soft refresh of the 2012 model, the real last upgrade.
I can confirm at least one.
My parents had a 2006 Mac Mini that finally gave up the ghost. It pained me bringing them to the Apple Store so they could purchase a brand new 4-year-old computer.
What an incredibly condescending post.If you're running your business on a Mac Mini, you've got bigger problems.
It seems odd to compare Apple's current product update cycles to one from over three decades ago.Apple sold the Mac Plus for nearly 5 years. Nothing new here people, move along.

Really the Mac mini hasn’t been updated since late 2012
I'm surprised Intel is still producing this chip. Is Apple the only customer? I'd think they'd want to free up the production line for modern CPU.
Does there have to be "an event" for a new Mac Mini to be in the marketplace?love it how some are clinging to updates this year, its pretty late in the year for another event and still no sign of invitations to an event.
Maybe refurbished models, but would you buy a "new" Mini with 6-year-old electronics?I wonder how many of these get sold every month.

Um no it’s not... there are often October events and occasionally November events. It is still October so it’s not pretty late.
The new iMac Pro, yearly updates the iMacs, and yearly updates to MacBooks and MacBook Pros are all evidence against your assertion. Just because Apple hasn't update the Mini and Mac Pro in years doesn't mean it's their policy to wait until products are obsolete. So is this Apple's new policy--waiting to update Macs until the current lineup is deemed "obsolete" and no longer serviced by Apple?
Yea how dare a company focus on the products that most consumers buy and not the niche ones that people on this website feel should be the priorityShame on you, Apple.
Ha I meant if there isn't an October/2018 Mac event in generalIf you're running your business on a Mac Mini, you've got bigger problems.

Why didnt you get them an Ipad Pro with keyboard? really curious as it seems most normal users have little need for a MacOs type computer anymore.
