Re-read what I wrote, this time with a smile. Nothing wrong with some levity with Apple’s marketing-speak.Can Apple do nothing right in your eyes?
Thank you. Fixed! In the article, "discretely" should be "discreetly".
This could save them some money, since they pay Cisco to use the name iOS.They really should bring back the iPhoneOS name.

Why not:
tvOS
macOS
homeOS
watchOS
visionOS
iPadOS (or padOS)
iPhoneOS (or phoneOS)
My HomePod minis have been my most disappointing Apple purchases ever. Siri won’t do anything useful. It just tells you to ask on your iPhone.Yawn - having seen how badly Apple botched the HomePod over the years and also Apple Intelligence, no trust this will be any good.
I have had zero issues with any of my HomePods. And do everything I ask of them.My HomePod minis have been my most disappointing Apple purchases ever. Siri won’t do anything useful. It just tells you to ask on your iPhone.
In 2000, MTV's "The Lyricist Lounge Show" did a comedy sketch about a breakfast cereal called "knee gr-O's" that made people taller and thus better at basketball. I'm not making this up. There was also a sketch where Snoop Dogg rapped his demands to a hostage negotiator (one of those demands being a Dreamcast with a blue controller). I'm really not making this up.I will endeavor to only pronounce it like "homey-Ohs" like it's a breakfast cereal.
HomePod Plus? HomePod Pro? HomePod Max? HomePod Hub? HomePodTV? 😊Will the device be called HomeScreen™️? 😁

Let’s be fair: HomeKit, the Home app, and anything related have not been Apple’s finest hours, with perhaps interoperability being the greatest hurdle to yet overcome. For me, and by posters in the relevant threads, “No Response” is a continuing annoyance. Love my iPhone, iPad, iMac, AppleTV4K, and HomePods, but Home and HomeKit remain stuck in beta quality at best. And let’s not think about Siri lest blood pressure escalate. Can Apple do nothing right in your eyes?
i absolutely cannot WAIT to wear a cut off shirt with homOS in apple font to the gym.I suspect there will be a lot of proof reading to make sure homeOS is spelled correctly in ads, marketing material, etc to ensure the e isn't accidentally left out
Couldn't agree more. Sad but true. Without Homebridge, Controller, Home+ Homekit would be a complete disasterDon't know about yours, but mine is already screwed up.
The HomeApp on iOS and MacOS (and the underlying system) is horrible and not fit for release.
The “i” stands for Internet, and first debuted on the iMac G3 witch was advertised as the easiest way to connect to the internet. For the next decade or so, nearly all Apple products and software had an “i” in front, including iTunes, iMovie, iLife, iWork, the iPod, iPhone, iPad, and, yes, iOS.Serious question, what do you think "i"OS stands for?
I know what you mean though.
