Oh please bring this to market. I've been waiting for this since the first multitouch MBPs. & with a wacom digitizer layer??? Wooooa baby. Now we are talking!

My Creative Suite CS4 experience is way better with the custom gestures. Productivity increased majorly. My Magic Mouse is invaluable in my graphic design.
I'm glad it worked out for you. Personally I had a sore arm and wrist after working with the Magic Mouse for a day, and that's saying something since I've been using mice for 20+ years without issues. I found two ways to hold it and both were awkward, plus the acceleration calls for a mousepad the size of a football field even when set to max. I went back to Logitech and moved the Magic Mouse to the Mac Mini hooked up to my TV (the Magic looked good on the table), but the damn thing kept randomly waking the Mini from sleep even though nobody touched it, so now my Magic Mouse is in my box for retired mice and trackballs...

I used the Magic Mouse for one day. Returned it the next. I felt strain in my wrist and arm as well which has NEVER happened. Same with the acceleration. It didn't glide particularly smoothly and seemed like I had to move it far more than I should. The right and left buttons were somewhat quirky and the right button clicked a couple of times when I was trying to press the left.

It looked killer and bluetooth was nice, but just wasn't happening. Not going to sacrifice on a $69 mouse.

I will however buy this trackpad if it comes to fruition. The one on my MBP is outstanding and if I will be at a desk for awhile, it'd be nice to have a side one.

Extended version keyboard

It would be nice to have a version of the magic trackpad with the keyboard (a right and left version, with 4 batteries instead of 3).

So you can put on your knees to work.

i would have preferred this over the magic mouse... but i already bought that.. and use with BetterTouchTool.. (awesomeness)

indeed - doesn't this "replace" the magic mouse then?

what are the advantages of having a mouse over as trackpad? (or vice versa)

The biggest advantage in such a device is the fact you don't have to move them around on your desk top. If you desk is like mine is covered with everything from radios I am working on to my lunch so when you move your mouse around you are running into things much to my irritation.

So was this fake or just still in development? Now that I look at the photos, it could have been easily have Photoshopped from a photo of the Wireless keyboard (though what purpose would that serve and who would be that cruel?)

Anyhow, I kind of envisioned the touchpad being on a wireless keyboard in place of the numpad, and not as a separate device. Seems a little too cluttered for Apple in my opinion, though I'd be happy with either option.
