Apple's New Ad Explores the Redesigned Apple Music

I guess the new music app is gearing toward a future of streaming music, which all the kids seem to be doing today. Much like another poster, I too have decades of music collected and prefer to play from my lists. It makes no sense to me to pay $120 a year for music when I own 10,000+ tracks. It would be nice to have separate apps for streaming vs. playing.

Also, I have noticed almost NO positive comments on the music app. I hope Apple is getting the same feedback from whatever sources it uses.

You're probably an expert but I've noticed that using the aux cord vs a USB cord makes a ton of difference. Aux cord sounds horrible in my car. The digital route is much better in my experience.
 
This New music app absolutely sucks! It is worse than iOS 7 Music App, remember that pile of ****?

This new app is not simplistic, it is childish and dumbed down to the dumbest denominator. You really need the app to be SIMPLER? like REALLY? It was too complicated for your tiny brains before? WTF?

Stop drinking the cool-aid Apple is pouring. Music App 10 is SUCKS! It completely guts Apple Music and inhibits anyone from discovering new music and playlists. iOS 9 has gorgeous cover art form edge to edge, constantly loading and scroll through your favorite music and new music and play lists that fit the Apple Music listener's taste.

With iOS 9 I discovered 4-6 new albums every day and rediscover artists I thought were not around anymore. iOS 9 Apple Music has been an amazing experience.

After updating to iOS 10, which I used for over a week I discovered 1 new artist and rediscovered NO artists. I found NO playlists that fit my taste. After a week of using this **** ass app, with small thin art covers and lame child blocked letters and icons, I downgraded back to iOS 9. If I have to use **** 10, I'll cxl Apple Music in a heart beat.

The iOS 10 Music app completely destroys the best feature about Apple Music, "For You".

iOS 10 Music apps is a clear example of how out of touch Apple is now with it's user base and it's own products.

Also, take a look at playing music on an iPad with iOS 10... miss that big beautiful cover art on the screen? Yea, me too... just downgrade.

Here is my letter to CooK:

"I’m super confused as to what was done to the Music App???

The For You section has been ruined, badly, disappointingly, horribly, ruined. The fluid view in iOS9 with the beautifully cover art stretching from edge to edge that scrolling endlessly with tons of music I love and new music to discover IS amazing. Why you’d leave that, is absurd. The side scrolling is horrible, it is limited, it is TOO hard to use while driving, and it shows a fractions of the music iOS 9 does. This is a huge hurt to Apple Music. I am down grading to iOS 9 so I can have my music back. If I am forced to go to iOS 10, honestly I’ll discontinue Apple Music.

IOS 9 I used Apple Music all day with iOS 10 I used it once this week. That is how bad it’s functionality is now. With iOS 10 in stead of discovering new music I have to go directly to music. I”m tired of what I list to and I want to discover more music. iOS 9 “For You” section has reconnect me with so many artists I forgot about It’s been the best nostalgic experience in music for me.

Please, add in a toggle in: Settings, Music “Turn on For You fluid view”!

Also, I think y’all did this to force us to look at the “connect tab”, but sorry… no one cares. Trying to force us to see the social carp by sticking in our “for you” section is a not cool."

Those of you who think iOS 10 Music App is good, are simply not heavy users of their phones or Apple Music.

FYI I use it all day.

This sucks, Go back to the drawing board Apple and first the douchers who did this.
 
Still looks like a pile of dung, why do the insist on underlining menu links, makes the interface look like a cheep website!
 
go back to the music app on ios 1 or 2. at least those had thought put into them. and fire jonathan ive as ux designer. he friggin sucks.
 
I don't mind the new look but I don't understand why the stripped so many features. No more star rating, no more quick plus add or love on the lock screen. Having to open the phone and app is a big annoyance.

Apple needs more web apps in general but iMessage and Music certainly top the list.
 
Finally a manual for the most crappy redesigned Music-Hateing App! Thank you Apple for getting rid of those who loved music. And MacPros btw, who needs them, when you can sell iPhones by the millions? It's just details, just peanuts, it's not what Apple was built on. Apple has always been about mass taste, illogical GUIs, mass production and fashion accessoires, or has it?

The biggest problem with Apple Music is iCloud. Turn it off on iTunes and you notice a big difference in playing songs.
 
Looks like crap, functions like crap.

Why does it take so many steps to create and then VIEW an on the fly playlist using "Play Next" ???!?!!!?

This app sucks on so many levels. I can't believe it got past Q.A. (...maybe it didn't. Maybe that's the problem)

It's like someone LITERALLY took a giant dump on every guideline on user interface design.
