I am not sure, if the iphone is a bright orange i might pass and go with black.

But if its bronze it will add a more premium appearance which will sway me away from the other plain colours.

This is the greatest news I've ever seen. The bravery of creating an orange strap should be an inspiration to all to follow your dreams. The hype for Tuesday couldn't be higher. I can't wait to see the incremental updates they have in store for us!
Agree, praise our lord, Sir Timothy  for the enlightenment this strap brings!

Just got back from a week in Belgium. Yes. LOTS of people use these things. We couldn't work out where people were picking up the round-the-neck audio-guide devices in all the museums and galleries we went to.... then realised that everyone had these kinds of straps on their phones.

Do PeOPle AcTUaLLy UsE ThESe?
Yes you silly person, they do.
Maybe in his little world they do not, but here in Europe that is a popular way of carrying the phone among young women. They seem to love to wear their phone like a handbag.
Thank you for saying this.
To those that don't need or want this, you are not the target audience.

Magnets are great but I would not trust them with the G forces a phone might see if you have to jog or run (a short distance even) not to mention the snatch n grab already mentioned. Metal clips, though a little bulkier, would be my preference if I was going to use this kind of strap.

People who are inclined to use force when stealing will use it anyway - regardless of how you hold your phone. I have used one of these while travelling and in my home country on occasion if I’ve left the house with only my phone, and they’re great; no need to constantly hold my phone, shove it in my bra or put it on a random surface if I’m shopping (which is a common issue for women seeing as clothing designers don’t always like to give us pockets), and it means I drop my phone less often too.
I bought an iPhone case from Amazon that came with a strap like that solely for the purpose of using my iPhone while parasailing on vacation, so I had some insurance if I dropped it.

Can’t figure out how this attaches to the iPhone (case). @MacRumors: Is it worth creating a 3D rendering before the event of what this looks like attached to the iPhone 17?

The cases have two lanyard loops on the corners. It's been seen in a couple of case leaks. It attaches to each lower corner of the case (charger port end).

Used heavily outside the US. Popular in European countries where snatch and grab is high. Honestly I wouldn't mind having it for travel. Makes it easier to take pictures and has attachment so if I drop it, it just hits my body. Easier to have available to take pics too instead of in and out of pocket or holding.

To each their own. I wouldn't use it on a daily basis though. Only for travel or walking/museums/gardens/etc.

Premium Aluminum? Apple ditched premium when they got rid of SS and Titanium for Aluminum. Justify it however you might, there's nothing premium about Aluminum when it comes to a phone.

To be fair I live in London and the only people who are getting things snatched are the morons who stand at a bus stop right at the front of the road with their phones out, or the ones who carry them in the back pocket.

There are just a lot of those morons!
Yeah no, it's much worse than that.
