This is the greatest news I've ever seen. The bravery of creating an orange strap should be an inspiration to all to follow your dreams. The hype for Tuesday couldn't be higher. I can't wait to see the incremental updates they have in store for us!
The courage/bravery joke is played out at this point, no? It has never been anyone’s position that every accessory needs to be revolutionary. And I say that as someone who is not terribly excited for this year’s announcements.

I'm not too interested in a neck strap (and especially one with some sort of magnetic attachment), but if they've made a way to attach those, that (probably) means we also can attach wrist straps, and I've been using that (mostly while traveling) for a while with my 15 pro.

The only issue I've had with that is that the attachment to for the strap (that tucks into my case) blocks the USB-C port. Not a big problem since I use a mag safe charger 99% of the time, but it tends to accumulate dust and stuff in and around the port.

So, a smoother attachment method would be appreciated.
Who said this is a neck strap?

Can I get a watch strap with that same metal flourishes and colour?

You know ... like the old nylon ones.

I will be getting the orange iPhone Pro Max. I hope to pair it with a dark green Caudabe Sheath.

There must be a market for this. I'm not part of it, but you know there will be people out there who are willing to pay a premium for every color Apple releases. You do you.

Several recent rumors have pointed to an all-new official Apple accessory arriving with the iPhone 17 lineup, and it looks like samples of the product have leaked ahead of Apple’s “Awe dropping” event on Tuesday.

Apple will offer a crossbody strap designed to work with the company's upcoming TechWoven cases for iPhone 17, and leaker Sonny Dickson has shared images of one of the straps in a vibrant orange color. The crossbody strap will reportedly have a flexible metal core and use magnetic attachment points, allowing users to easily connect and disconnect the accessory as needed.

Based on previous leaks, new TechWoven cases – replacing Apple's discontinued FineWoven line – will feature small attachment holes in the bottom corners specifically for looping through Apple's new strap. The accessory also apparently features a unique design that makes it magnetic along its entire length.

The latest leak tallies with earlier rumors from Majin Bu and fellow leaker DuanRui, who have shared CAD drawings and case clones showing similar attachment points on official iPhone 17 cases.

It won't be the first time Apple has leaned into wearable accessories for its products. The AirPods Pro 2 charging case includes a lanyard cutout, and the fifth-generation iPod touch featured built-in attachment hardware for similar purposes.

Apple is expected to release the iPhone 17 Pro models in a new orange color, so the strap we see here could also be alluding to it. Stay tuned for in-depth coverage of Apple's announcements this week.

The innovation is intense.

Biggest thing about this event is the rust/copper/orange phone.

Tim isn't sorry Steve.

You’re right, but continually exhuming these zombie horses and re-beating them endlessly is just what happens, unfortunately.

I could go 100,000 lifetimes without ever hearing:
  • Safari is snappier
  • PowerBook G5
  • “You’re holding/____ing it wrong”
  • “We can’t wait to see you do it”
  • “You’re going to love it”
  • Courage/bravery
  • “Innovation my ass”
  • Tim Apple
  • Tim hasn’t pushed the button for the _____ beta/update
…”jokes” (among too many others) again, and it’ll still be too soon.

Well, the X post embedded in the article calls it a Crossbody Strap, so - technically - it's more of a shoulder strap than a neck strap, but I don't think thats much of a distinction... ;)
Crossbody strap is very different than a neck strap. Neck strap for ID cards not much else. Guys don't get it because this is a women's carry option mostly. On Google search no images of a guy using one. 3 pages of spicy comments from guys is pretty funny.

Do PeOPle AcTUaLLy UsE ThESe?
Yes you silly person, they do.
Maybe in his little world they do not, but here in Europe that is a popular way of carrying the phone among young women. They seem to love to wear their phone like a handbag.
They certainly cost more than a handbag.

An orange so vibrant, it inspires awe.
Ideas so fresh, innovative, and raw.
The next big thing, so stand and clap,
behold, the cross body strap.
Not enough? Want more to see?
Pro AirPods numbering three.
We promised you awe, no need to pause,
so if you would, applause, applause.
Many strides taken, and gambles took
Ladies and Gentleman, Mr. TimApple Cook.
AirPods Pro 3? Valve, take notice! It is possible!

Does this fulfill my wish for an iphone with a hole to directly attach a chain/key ring/etc.

Its such an ugly colour. I am surprices Apple would choose this. I mean sure I like when there are colour options, Sieanna blue for example was so gorgeous but orangem yellow etc is just jikes. Hoever taste in styles and colour is so individual so who cares
