If it doesn't improve this then it's still a No.

I am very privileged that I do not have any issues with fit or weight or any of that stuff with my original AVP. That new headgear is butt ugly. I am excited, I should be able to pick up a replacement or two of the old style headgear on eBay for a song.

Would have bought this had it been available when I got my AVP (start of this year). Day 1 of owning AVP (early 2025), I used the supplied Solo Knit Band in combination with the Belkin strap, but found the AVP too uncomfortable (too heavy) to wear for more than 20 mins or so. Contemplated returning AVP due to the weight issue, but gave the Annapro 2 a try, which removed the issue of AVP being too heavy on the face. I actually use all three ‘bands’ (Solo Knit Band, Belkin Strap & Annapro 2) together! Weight is no longer an issue with my set up, but I do still have an issue with the general ‘closed in’ & ‘solitary’ feeling when using AVP….it actually deters me from putting it on. After a days work, it is easier/less hassle to relax on the sofa with my iPad Pro than put on AVP. You soon get over the wow factor of the big screen. I admit that I knew this was a likely outcome before I purchased AVP, but after demoing AVP, ownership of AVP became an itch I just had to scratch! As crazy as it sounds, I still don’t regret my purchase. Hope everyone buying the M5 AVP (or just the new strap for an existing AVP) enjoys their purchase.
use the annapro 2 without the light shield. no weight issues or closed in feelings. its how I watch all my tv and movies now

Remove the light seal its a game changer, you no longer get cut off from the world and you get a significantly wider FOV (some guy on reddit tested it and found up to 115-120 horizontal FOV) plus your eyes can breath so you don't get sweaty if its hot.

I only use my light seal if I want to watch something, but for work I rip it off.

Apple is likely prioritizing stocking the M5 VP with these rather than fulfilling orders from M2 owners.

You see the same thing with wheels. Does that mean there's a lot of demand?

Apple is more likely prioritizing other actually high sales volume stuff, like M5 MacBook Pro, iPhone, and iPad Pro.

You do know the straps were shipping far sooner than that when sold yesterday? I punted buying it once it was clear the M5 Vision Pro and up comes with it by default

I'm sure Apple had some inventory ready for shipping. Whether the demand is from low inventory or popularity from M2 is another question.

I’m thinking of buying a used Vision Pro for no more than $1,500
Ebay is where I got my first gen one. I ended up returning it a few months ago and just preordered the M5. I bought it for like $1,800. I would imagine with the M5 out there should be a drop to get you to that $1500. My advice is put the AVP in your cart on the apple store so you can get a scan and know what size to get so you don't get stuck with the wrong size.

Almost ordered one, but might try out in store to see how much better it really is versus the solo.

Apple won't know for sure how popular they are until after the two week return period expires. Could just be users trying them out to see if / how much difference they make.

Expecting owners of the current M2 version to buy it. But the demand cannot be measured just by the delivery dates. Don't know whether some of the orders will be returned.
