I ordered one. I use a kludged version that uses two solo knit straps with an adapter. I'm interested to see the effect of the counter weights. I typically use my Vision Pro 4 to 5 hours at a time. It has become an integral part of my work flow.
Apple discontinued something they enjoyed in the past and it irritates them every day Apple continues to exist as a company. Since the world seems to be unaware that Apple should currently be out of business due to ending the Airport Base Stations, or the iPod nano, or the iPhone mini, or whatever, these folks have to take it upon themselves to let as many people as they can comfortably inform know that Apple should be over and could you please help by not buying their products? Thanks!I haven’t tried it yet, while I am skeptical I could get a whole day of use out of an AVP, it looks like the wide band across the top might make enough of a difference to extend sessions by better disbursing some of the tension pressure necessary to keep the AVP in place that the regular dual loop just didn’t do.
I do enjoy seeing the AVP haters irresistibly re-up their membership oath every AVP related article.
That’s FANTAASTIC news! Steve Jobs eventually discontinued the Newton and since he’s dead, the Vision Pro won’t be discontinued! The Vision Pro is the Apple Newton of the 21st century. :/
There’s a LOT of people that don’t like having to strap any computing device to their face. It’s just they don’t find out until they strap a computing device to their face, and then they have to buy additional gadgets that make it feel less like they’ve strapped a computing device to their face.At least you gave it a solid go. I usually buy the latest tech gadgets, but the AVP just doesn't appeal to me at all. I don't like having to strap any computing device to my face.
You’re actually not the minority. Folks that have a problem with them are far more likely to communicate that they find them uncomfortable. Everyone else is just quietly enjoying them. Easy on, easy off.I’ll be in the minority of people that have used the solo knit band from the start with no issues. I can wear mine for 5 hours no problem
That apt. I love both. The Vision Pro is the Apple Newton of the 21st century. :/
They're just super upset that Apple actually sold around 400,000 AVPs.
You could argue the Newton wasn't either. They launched at a price of $699, or $1567 adjusted for inflation. It isn’t nor is the Pro Display XDR and Mac Pro: Items mainstream users (normies) scoff at not having an option compromised to fit their budget and modest use case for such hardware
Or the Pippen. The Vision Pro is the Apple Newton of the 21st century. :/
Bro, don't downplay the popularity of those wheels. Don't try and start some 'stationary-gate' movement.Apple is likely prioritizing stocking the M5 VP with these rather than fulfilling orders from M2 owners.
You see the same thing with wheels. Does that mean there's a lot of demand?
Apple is more likely prioritizing other actually high sales volume stuff, like M5 MacBook Pro, iPhone, and iPad Pro.

Which in 2012 was absolutely free and was a part of MacBook pro package )99 bucks for a padded strap. It make the iCloth seem like a bloody bargain.
If yours arrived dead you should have returned or exchanged it. Most people got theirs in working condition.Imagine spending $3500 on a DOA device to buy its $99 band after.
Wouldn't doubt that; both units were/are too bulky for my taste. The Newton inspired the iPhone, the VP should do something similar. That’s FANTAASTIC news! Steve Jobs eventually discontinued the Newton and since he’s dead, the Vision Pro won’t be discontinued!
The Apple Newton was the impetus behind the existence of ARM which now powers all Apple’s computers. You think the Apple Vision Pro has THAT level of importance?
