The design is reminiscent of the Galaxy Buds to me for some reason, so I could see why it would. I re-evaluated, and I could see them having wireless charging. Only issue is the size for me.

The design is reminiscent of the Galaxy Buds to me for some reason, so I could see why it would. I re-evaluated, and I could see them having wireless charging. Only issue is the size for me.
However they are almost always on sale at 3rd party retailers for less then $150. Beats suggested retail price is high but they are always discounted down to reasonable levels. I think this is apples strategy they set the price at a premium so they still make a profit when things go on sale. You can buy the new MacBook Air for under a thousand dollars right now
I really wonder what Apple's thinking right now. After they bought Beats this would be the biggest step or "invention" from them and it seems like they just cut the cords. After todays presentation and see this the big Apple fan inside me is dying slowly... Come on Apple you are better than this!

I don't see it that way. Apple hasn't done any marketing with wired beats, "Beats" has. Apple doesn't change their marketing because Samsung now offers a similar product. Why would they change their marketing just because "Beats" is now offering a more similar product? The money all goes to the same place, but they're marketed by two different brands. It's not Apple against Apple, it's Apple against Beats.
Why would they need to change the design? Just so that we can show off? Or is it because our ear canal shape changes time to time?
Loosing the wire solves the only issue I had with my beatsx headphones. The wire wore out after about a year and started shorting out
Powerbeats 3's are a hundred bucks now. I see these Pro's being around $250 but not over $300.
I don't think you're going to get too many mehs. These look good. That stealthy matte sheen. I'm not even a Beats fan, but that's on point.
My powerbeats 2 are almost dead.(had to use crazy glue to fix the earphone part on, and i lost the cover on my icontroltalk for it) I use them only in the gym.

With workout headphones I don't think you'll find one. You're putting a lot of tension and wear on them, more than casual wireless headphones like the AirPods. I think of Powerbeats and other workout-headphones in the same space as workout apparel. They won't last forever due to wear.
I thought I was the only one to use crazy glue lol. I glued my Powerbeats 1 so many times already and it still work.

I don't need new earphones but for Jaysus' sake, you're right about the color! Where the heck are my matte black AirPods? I'm wondering how the battery life on these compares to the AirPods since they seem to have bigger housing.
I was really hoping Apple was going to slip some new hardware into the keynote today.

As someone whose ears are incompatible with Apple branded headphones...i am definitely interested in these. I am fairly active, and prefer the behind the ear style headphones. Apple’s airpods & airbuds can’t stay in my ears normally...forget about running or riding a bike with them!
