I need to upgrade to a Mac Studio, but waiting for the M5 chips. Hoping they come next week, as running the full Creator Studio on my base Mini is starting to push it's limits.

Might have been good to keep the countdown timer on 🙄. People come to this site from all countries and time zones.

I am not at all excited. I used to be when Apple events were events. Now they could be covered with a Press release as there is not really anything to see except more bugs, poor UI design and features that nobody wants.
Devices announced at a press release are usually meh. Hope I'm wrong this time around and there's a "One last thing" surprise.

I miss those days, the live audience.
I miss the Steve Jobs Keynotes.

Today I much prefer the MacRumors event round up video. Removes all the cringe from the official keynote videos and emphasises MRs opinions on the keynote throughout which I really enjoy.

So much so I no longer watch the official keynotes and watch MRs videos exclusively.
The one exception is the State of the Union WWDC keynotes as they are great and usually cringe free.

Only reason nobody is surprised is because Kuo and Gurman keep ruining it for Apple. Seriously wish Apple would somehow silence those two. There’s a difference between speculating and downright leaks that are ruining the releases.
If Apple wanted to silence them, it would. Maybe those leaks allow the firm to test how the media and fans react, so that it can adapt products before they are released.

Excited and waiting to see everything Apple is planning to launch. Most of them will be very minor chip updates only. Hopefully the new A series MacBook will have some fun and bright colors. Waiting to see the pricing.

I'm totally "excited" for this week to be completely underwhelmed by products with compromises made that ensure nothing is "insanely great"... since it's the finance department that rules the roost now.

TBF, you cant have revolutionary product on yearly basis. The advancement plateaued . IMO, they should take things slow and release all new products every 3 years and the in between is just spec bumps. There is nothing revolutionary going to happen in 12 months.

Waiting to see what is announced today and over the next two days. Excited to see the new products even though other than the new A series laptop everything else will be a small update. Not sure whether the M5 Pro/Max MacBook Pro's will get cellular connectivity.

Should be starting now if EST.

I’m willing to bet the iOS 26.3.1 is also done with new product rollout of 17e for product support, bugs, security updates (as well as the other software versions for Mac etc).

Same. I gave up watching the keynotes and such and just read the synopsis here, or the watch MR video.

I'll occasionally watch a live blog on Ars or The Verge, if I have nothing else going on.

I just opened the Apple Store app and I see the iPhone 17e and new iPad Air M4?

iPhone 17e has just been announced and looks to be a major disappointment.

This was supposed to be the year Apple standardised on the dynamic island yet it's still the notch, and 60hz of course.

This should have been basically a repackaged iPhone 15 but it's still using the display of the iPhone 14.

Not good enough.

Yep!
