Let’s go already 🤣🤣

I want this MacBook too but I remain skeptical it will launch. One possible solution to prevent cannibalization is to make it a MacBook Air so that shoppers can be upsold to the M5 CPU plus all the other usual upgrades. Also, Apple can keep the M4 chip around for an in between configuration. If Apple makes it a new product line, this upgrade path will not exist in the BTO system.

Apple thinks that they will make more money by releasing pro products instead of those... Come on apple release the HomePod mini 2 and a new apple tv.

I’ve tried Google and went back to the HomePod Mini for the following reasons:

- the Audio quality is superb
- Siri is a much, much better DJ than Google Assistant. I kid you not: every time I say ‘Hey Google, play some music’ it answers back ‘sure, playing someone you love by Lewis capaldi’. Siri gets it right every single time.
- Siri is capable of digging out iTunes Match tracks I’ve uploaded to the cloud whereas Google can only access the public Apple Music library. This is invaluable due to the big gaps in streaming service catalogues.
- I’m a functional human and capable of looking up facts by myself. Siri never fails to set a timer or a reminder. That’s all I need from a kitchen assistant.
- AirPlay
- I like being able to vacuum up music on the way to work with the U1 chip
- I like being able to turn on my TV and AppleTV with just a voice command.
- The burglar alarm listening function actually works.

What I wish it did extra:

- Acted as a mesh to improve WiFi around the house.
- Had some built in flash memory for caching playlists and wireless iPhone backups
Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to type up this review!! :)

Does Apple do press releases on a Friday? Any possibility they will end this week with an Apple TV announcement?

How about the iMacs any plans of a new one?
There had been vague rumors of next iMacs getting a 90 hz display and a new mouse (more ergonomic), but it seems that Apple are not in a hurry to offer us new iMacs. In the Apple Store, the iMac is not well exposé. What a pity ! I wish also them to bring back target mode… Or make a 24’ display with the same design and Colors :)

For those of you who use the HomePod Mini's, how do you find them compared to any competitors offerings?
We have 2 linked as stereo pair in our garden room , given their size we’ve found the sound stage and performance to be a very effective , friends / family have also made similar comments. We’ve also got a couple of Echo Dots , we definitely prefer the sound of the HomePod Minis .

A FaceTime camera would be a great addition to the Apple TV box,
For many people, as long as they don't bake in "who's watching" features (like with the rumoured iHub) for those rooms with non-traditional layouts where such "viewer aware" features could become a burden of neck twisting to authenticate one's face to the device.

For plain TV screens people might have their ancillary equipment on the same side of the room, for projection the equipment might be to the side, or even behind.

My gear is behind me, with the video projected in front. "who's watching" could become problematic in setups like mine.

But for those who put everything on the same side of the room, I am sure it could become a handy feature to have your Apple TV know who is watching and which account to load. Assuming they can deal with multiple people sitting down together.

The Homepod Mini is the singular worst Apple product I've ever owned. Siri on it is beyond useless as it can never answer a question without "sending results to your iphone"
Ours have been fine …. so far and haven’t missed beat when we request the temp/ humidity.

What’s the reluctance of adding an M series chip to the Apple TV? Seems like it’s one device that could benefit from an M series chip over the A series and yet its still rumored to use an older A series chip.

The only way a camera on Apple TV would work were if it were mounted on a firm yet flexible arm where it could bend any which way and stay there..like the kind a plumber would send down a drain looking for clogs (just a lot shorter).

Well the new A series are near M type performance and factoring the size of the Apple TV they might be a better choice. If they put the same chip in the iPad mini 7, it will have 8gb of ram and be able to play games like the Resident Evil 4 remake.

So the Studio Display is rumored to get a more powerful chip than the entry level MacBook? Interesting
I still can't fathom why a display needs a CPU at all, let alone the top tier phone chip. The computer it's connected to is more than powerful enough to manage all the functionality using spare CPU cycles. Seriously looking at ASUS and BenQ to pair with my next Mac.

Still waiting for the updated AirTags.
Getting ridiculous at this point, Apple.

I'm kind of angry we haven't gotten an Apple TV announcement yet. From the Rumors to rebranding the streaming service, I thought this would have been the week. Yeah there is another day tomorrow, but they don't typically announce things on Friday.

Waiting for a new Apple TV device and AirTags.

ATV - Hopefully, you can turn it off/block the camera and mic, if it includes them. Hopefully, they have worked on keeping them cooled. My existing one gets pretty warm when used on my 65 inch TV.

I'm establishing a new home and just waiting for the new Apple TV and HomePods. Originally didn't buy the older one due to the persistent rumours of the new ones but it's been freaking months now. Now it would just be a shame to buy when they're likely to release around the corner. Just get them out already!

Yes let's wait yet another year while everyone else just releases products....

For reference I am interested in said products.
I wouldn’t mind if they still plan to release one with an S12 given the rumors of the S12’s AI cores and functionality. There really isn’t a meaningful upgrade from the current HomePod Mini without it.
