Apple doesn't want eat the cost of equipping OLED in all flagship models so it's making an excuse to continue using cheaper LCD and charging a premium for OLED.
Hence why Jobs had no problem declaring a war on Google and Android even if it caused apple to go broke.Large tech conglomerates don't operate on spite - they operate on profit. Samsung is a major supplier to Apple.
In what language is "Holliday" spelled like that?
No worry Tim...I can wait for a long time until you recognize what you did wrong. Take your time.
Hopefully.....maybe .....I hope & pray you have a very long life..
Do you think Tim is excited?Great things coming in the pipeline.![]()
How long before Apple itself gets into the screen making business? Pretty much every product they sell now and well into the future not only has a screen but increasingly is defined by its screen, and they can't rely on others to do it.
I've been advocating for OLED displays in Apple products for years, so even if Apple creates an iPhone Pro model and prices it at $899+ due to supply constraints I'm going to have to practice what I preach.
Neither does Apple, apparently. If they did they'd loan their suppliers some of their excess cash to increase their facilities.People complaining don't realize how many iPhones Apple sell.
What if they go another year with the same design, call it 7s and make millions off their faithful sheeps? As sad as it sounds, i can totaly see them doing just that. So, basically Apple are going to screw up the iPhone 8 launch too? Yay!

Correct. Steve Jobs "owned" Apple in the sense that he could do what he wanted with it without fear of consequences. Those days are gone. Apple is a corporate and no-one wields enough power to do that sort of thing. And just for kicks they should make it totally automated so that it employs noone.
Hence why Jobs had no problem declaring a war on Google and Android even if it caused apple to go broke.
I know the density of pixels is different from OLED TVs to OLED Phones, but think how many phones you would get out of one 75" screen.People complaining don't realize how many iPhones Apple sell.
I wish Apple would put one back in or at least push USB-C headphones like they are pushing the ports on the laptopBS!
Complete and utter BS!
Apple won't be using OLED displays ever.
Ming Chi Kuo trolled the media saying the next iPhone will have OLED (buzz), and now he's making up excuses (kill).
If Apple were to put an OLED in 2017, they would have decided about it in 2013, and primed the suppliers in 2014, tested in 2015, manufactured in 2016 to release in 2017. What do people think Apple is? A bunch of amateurs that decide their products roadmap 2 weeks before releasing them?
But I'm waiting for that guy that will say the next iPhone will suck because it doesn't have an headphone jack.
The 2018 iPhone will be in short supply at launch due to something. You heard it here first.
