I guess that could happen, but I've only ever ordered through my carrier and received my phone on launch day every time.

Happened to me with vodafone last year, told me ON launch day that they didn't have stock.

It‘s normal that the store comes up late. They always do it like that. I think it‘s a simple kind of load balancing.

GOT IT! The app wouldn't load for me, AT&T says 13 mins to go but I was able to keep refreshing the Apple.com store. Good luck guys. Hope they don't cancel now =O.
