I don't care what anybody says, this is still one of the most exciting days of the year for me. Apple has done a superb job at making the iPhone my most personal material possession. No matter how "lame" or "underwhelming" the updates might be, I'm still going to buy it because it's simply the latest and greatest and I'd want nothing less for myself.

Pleased to hear something positive here. Enjoy checking out the new phone. I know I will.

I use a Next plan that puts me in position to replace each year so I will likely get the new phone. This year though, I will order the next morning and it gets here whenever. I don’t think I will have to wait that long. No need to be up at 2AM.

Still interested but going to hold out for a similar iPad Pro 11” design. Also for the past couple years phones have risen beyond the $1,000+ price point. Personally $1,350 so i’m choosing to wait.

These are always fun. Even if it results in an ugly square camera bump on the back of a bland rectangle. ;)

I'm intrigued enough to watch the Keynote this afternoon. Although if the leaks we've seen come to fruition, I'll just be interested in when iOS 13 and tvOS 13 are officially released to the public.

It hypes people up. Also makes them wait to see the new products before they decide to buy the old generation.

Also keeps people from hammering the store’s page and backend, much less resource intensive to serve a static page, esp cached on a CDN. Apple’s used to dealing with tons of traffic, but even the best capacity planning still usually isnt for utterly massive unusual spikes in traffic. Sure, they could scale up infra in anticipation, they prob do anyway for new products, but this is easier, saves some money and effort for the duration of the event, gives staff breathing room if they need to make last minute capacity updates, focuses people on the event instead of the store page, and has the hype factor too.

Whattttt are you guys even saying in this thread?

I can’t wait for some of y’all to come back during the keynote and say “well that’s pretty cool”.

The Apple fans are few and far between on this site smh.
I'm a forever fan, forever iPhone guy. But, I'm also aware that not every year is a killer year for Apple. It's ok, it happens to the best companies and Apple is no exception.

I can't wait for the new 2020 lineup, till then, my Xr is working great

Most people don't give a sheisse.

Cookie thinks it is perpetually 2012 in tech land, perpetually 1987 in culture land.
The goth kids all over this thread, how dare anyone enjoy these Apple events, be miserable that’s cool. ;)

Thank you!

I haven’t been excited for any new product since the iPhone 4. I hope they surprise us today.

Someone posted this on Twitter. Not sure if legit or photoshopped. I’d be surprised if the XS models hung around. But I prefer the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11R naming.

That’s so easy to Photoshop, but we’ll see. I prefer that too. Pro isn’t really necessary.

I hope the crowd keep their cheers and applause low this time because I really want to hear Tim say "this is the best iPhone ever!" and everything else he has to say.

Be sure to watch live, the audience laughs are removed and replaced with cheers in the archived version
