Cool, at this pace, it's going to be a while before Apple Passwords can replace 1Password. Apple, if you're going to Sherlock an app, go all the way. Annoying af.
Why that?I trust Apple infinitely more than I trust Proton.
Im do not, but Apple is in fact sell our data behind our backs. So why claim that privacy BS? They're not much better than Meta or GoogleAre you really suggesting Apple sells people’s passwords to third-parties behind our backs?
Are we nuts?
Don't you know? We Swiss aren't neutral anymore. We are a "covid dictatorship", "EU puppet state", "Russian oligarch playground" + everything Proton claims is fake....Of course it's more viable to believe a Trillion dollar, profit oriented company who claims to set users privacy at #1. 🤡Why that?
But these aren't passwords. You can save passports and credits cards on Safari or wallet now! And attachments can be saved in locked notes in notes app.
If you are not happy with 1Password UX I wouldn’t touch Apple Passwords. It’s way worse. I tried using it for half a year, got frustrated and went back to 1P.How good is the Apple Passwords? Quite tired of 1Password UX and issues and thinking of changing to this.
What I hate the most is when certain websites use various ways to log in and Passwords thinks that they're separate websites. So it may suggest one password for one page, and an older password for another page, when really I'm just trying to log into the same webpage. Then there's also the app, which should use the same password but again Passwords doesn't always realize this and treats it like an unknown app. So I have to fish for the password for the website but I don't know which one will be the right one.
So like there will be a password for "auth.webpage.com" and "webpage.com" and "webpage.com/auth" or whatever. They're all the same thing with the same password but Apple doesn't realize this.
What's worse I have no idea which is which, and which one to use when, because they're all complicated auto-generated passwords and I have no clue what other passwords there are for this "website" which is really treated as 3 different websites so the different passwords don't even show up in one place.
So I just write them down like in the good old days, except now they're long and complicated.
Why don't more websites just use passkeys or Google login?
