iPod touch Apples Policy On My iPod Touch Situation?

Ok, so my iPod touch is dead, completely dead. I've tried everything and I can confirm that it is...dead dead dead. Now that's out of the way, I read some posts that if you trash your iphone, take it into apple, pay them some money, they give you a brand new one. I think it was $200?

I'd like to know if apple have this policy

A. In the UK?
B. Also extend that same offer to iPod touch?

If you take your iPod to Apple, they'll replace it for you and give you the same exact model for £146.44. I personally would just buy a new iPod Touch. The first generation really isn't worth that price anymore, and I'd say you would be paying too much.

For old dead iPods they give 10% off the price of a new one in Apple Stores.
