Apple's Q3 2008 Financial Results on July 21st

Apple will be webcasting their 3rd Quarter 2008 Financial Results on July 21, 2008. The 3rd fiscal quarter encompasses sales between April 1, 2008 and June 30, 2008. As such, results from the iPhone 3G and App Store sales will not be included in the earnings report.

Recent reports however, have suggested that Apple's U.S. marketshare continues to increase substantially with 30-40% gains year-over-year.

[YAWN] Why is this news? Shouldn't this be on page 2? Or 41? And why do we need to know four days ahead of time?

I didn't know they existed either.

What's to hate about David Pogue? The guy has contributed a lot to the Apple community, written some of the best mac help books, and is an entertaining read.

He's also an entertaining speaker. Possibly some forget, because they never knew, that Pogue is one of the few tech journalists who stuck by the Mac through thick and thin, and that includes a lot of thin. If someone asks whether he's the most unbiased person to quote, I'd say not. But I don't get calling him nasty names.

I think bigger deal for Friday is Apple Beijing Store opening in the Sanlitun District. China's first Apple Store.

Its SVP Ron Johnson in pic 6.

:D

I wonder what plans Apple have for dealing with the economic slowdown. As somewhat 'luxury' items, it would be expected that Apple would be hit slightly harder than some other companies if people feel the need to cut down their spending.
