So that is the exact reason why the price drop ...
the coming of new Models ... but all in all anyone knows what date in Oct that the new stuff going to appear?
No. They always hit the referb section after a few months. Doesn’t mean they are getting new ones any time soon, they were just refreshed a few months ago. Apple has to do something about these returns somehow.

These new 2019 machines including Air, 13 and 15 Pro are already available on refurbished store in China and there are lots of them including models with Vega 20.

The only problem for Apple with its refurbished prices is that Amazon offers a brand-new 13" MacBook Pro 1.4GHz model with 2xTB3 ports for the same price as Apple's refurbished model.

According to this the thermals are fine.

Yeah, relative to its TDP thermals are fine. But it's lower TDP because it has worse cooling, hence 1.4 GHz.

Refurbished Apple products are great because you know that they have been thoroughly inspected and tested - they still look brand new as well. Plus, you still get Apple’s one year limited warranty and the ability to add AppleCare+.

Yeah, truly tested by real customers who decided to return them cause they failed at some point. I bought two refurbished Airport Extremes and both failed after a while. The first one within the two year warranty you get in Europe, the second one two months after the warranty ended. The thing is they are brand new from outside but with old and who know how extremely use and abused internals. Some components are just not made to last forever. No refurbs for me again. Better check Amazon for brand new products for the same low price.

Now don't get me wrong, I am all for reusing tech especially for making it affordable to everybody and saving the landfills and the planets resources. But either lower the price significantly like maybe 50% off or make longer lasting components.

Or people returned them because they wanted a different configuration, changed their minds, or got them as gifts or any number of reasons.

These aren't better than what Amazon offers on brand new machines every now and then.

Still waiting for a non-butterfly-keyboard mbp.

The problem with some of these "killer" deals: 8GB RAM and/or 128GB SSD that cannot be upgraded. :/
128GB HD is an absolute joke. So is 256GB. The minimum should have been 512GB for the last five years at least.

256GB is fairly standard.
