Don't buy now. In one year time they'll launch the "Pro" version.

after best iphones , after a proper form over design mac pro , now with iosd13.2 that is the most stable one, with airpods pro, tomorrow with airtag and macbook pro later...Apple you make Christmas better for millions of people

I've seen your post everywhere around this page and forums. You are always so positive about the macbook pro 16".

I wan't to see your face when the macbook pro 16" won't be out till March next year ;)

At the bottom of the AirPods Pro website you can see the AR feature to find the lost Airpods. I'm sure it'll be the same for AirTags

The low key AirPods Pro release I was not expecting. I imagine that Apple will announce these devices in a similar way very shortly along with the new MacBook Pro.

Seems like that's not the case though. That is just letting you see them right now with AR. They've been doing this for some products for a little bit. Not connected (that I know of) with the Find My feature.

From what I have read about the technology that is gonna be used the range isn't that great so it won't work outside of your house but it's very precise inside that range.
Oh, here I thought they were going to have the ability to be tracked out of range from your devices, similar to how Find My iPhone works now where other peoples device will anonymously detect your device if they have to be near it.

With what I researched so far, with the U1 chip, you’ll likely be able to see the direction of where the tag would be on an iPhone 11.

This is going to be a wonderful new product for Apple.

Apple is absolutely THE company to do AirTags for so many reasons. They make the hardware, control the privacy, they make the software, more reasons too!

I just replaced my Tiles anyway. Not going to wait for apple to release them. Tiles are cheap and work well. When Apples air tags have been out for a while and when they are equally good (loud) then I might switch. These bluetooth trackers are not a huge investment so switching canbe done any time. I'm hoping that down the road all iPhones track and report the air tags by default. By this you get full coverage of any major city. As long as they make sure privacy is maintained.

Hmm, if it were to be released next year, it should be during the June (WWDC) event. Let's wait until the week is over so we know Apple has finished with the "soft" launches of products.

I remember in the good old days when I’d hear of a new product direct from Apple.

I’d probably want one of these but I don’t know what I’d tag... 🤔

We had a bad year two or three years ago where either my better half or myself would misplace keys or wallets. They were all eventually located so not sooo bad.

That Christmas I bought Tile's for keys and wallets. Then we didn't loose anything until one of the Tile's batteries went dead, awesome, lasted about two years. But I found that wallet and replaced that Tile recently. I replaced the tiles on our key's with new ones that have replicable batteries. I was about to throw the old ones away and I watched a YouTube about cracking them open and replacing the batteries and gluing them back together. I did all of that and put one in a backpack and in a camera case.

iTag! What is apple's aversion to the "i" moniker lately? iWatch, iTV, iMusic, iHome... these should all be current product names!

Maybe they will announce/release the tile tomorrow. After todays Aipods Pro press realise, they could do what they did earlier in the year, announce a new product daily.

Monday/Today - AirPods Pro
Tuesday - Tile or iPad Pro update
Wednesday - 16" MacBook Pro
Thursday - Mac Pro

I would actually be interested in using these around my house to trigger lighting and other actions as I enter/leave specific rooms.
