I remember listening to 91X and KROQ in the 80's and it was great to hear Oingo Boingo, the Cure, U2, Gene Loves Jezebel, and Depeche Mode back then. Now, when listening to the station I set up for the Cure, I get to hear the intel to S*x Dwarf, a song that I heard exactly zero times in the 80s, but I get to skip at least 14 times on iTunes Radio in their 16 song rotation.

Hey Apple, here's a thought: if I consistently skip a song, I'm willing to bet that there has to be an algorithm that can be made to NOT PLAY THAT SONG AGAIN! I like Tainted Love, also by Soft Cel, but not this song.

I'm happy with Spotify, unless Apple comes up with a brilliant music service. But, to be honest Apple, just concentrate on making iOS 9 better.

While I agree with you, Spotify & Pandora are only good until Apple actually rolls out a S&P competitor. Then they will quickly become "stupid", "cluttered", "garbage" with "outdated UIs", etc. For "99.9% of the streaming market" whatever Apple rolls out will be "perfect". If you've been around here for while, you know how things work. ;)

What's the point of having iTunes Radio AND a "streaming music service"? I say just merge the two into one. Makes everything simpler

Did you read the article? iTunes Radio launching in a long list of countries. Sounds like they had it ready to go worldwide for ages, with a growing list, but the Beats deal held them up.

I doubt it was ready. This strategy doesn't make sense when you're in such a weak position as Apple is with its music streaming content.

Yes to this. I can't believe the volume of annoying bugs that have continued to exist in iOS7 and 8. Ranging from simple GUI issues to out and out crashes (Podcasts anyone??).

I'd like to see iOS9 focussed on less flashy, in-your-face changes and a focus on stability and optimisation.

I really, really hope this is true.

That's what I don't get. Very unApple to keep two separate, similar services going. Maybe it'll all make sense when they explain it.

I have a bad feeling that the $25/yr iTunes Match will be abolished for a monthly fee.

In that case I'm gonna be at Google Play Music in a heartbeat. They allow you to store 50,000 songs a la iTunes Match for free and beyond that also offer an optional, integrated Spotify-like subscription service for the usual 10 per month.

I'm ready for a stability-centered iOS 9

And performance, please!

iTunes radio wouldn't need to offer unlimited skipping if it knew how to play more than 10 songs without repeating the same stuff over and over.

Should i renew my Spotify sub for 6 months? or Apple streaming service is finally coming late June?

Personally i don't think the service will be released on June, perhaps October but not sooner.
