You guys are way behind the times. I've been running the M5 on my ship. Dr. Richard Daystrom insists its the most advanced computer ever.

Sure, if you're stuck in the past and still running duotronics.

Me? I'm all about isolinear computing. And I'm thinking about adding the bio-neural gel pack upgrade.

TSMC's technology is getting so tight, 3nm and reducing further, maybe it's time to switch from a nm reference to Angstroms, making this a 30 Angstrom process.

It'll be interesting to see when its released, i honestly can't see it happening later this year, 2Q 2023 is my bet.

It looks like a M2 Pro 14 inch MacBook Pro is in my future next year :)

Apple might skip the Pro/Max/Ultra versions of the M2 and go straight for the M3 chips. The next refresh will have the M3 Pro/Max/Ultra instead. They did this before where they skipped the more powerful "X" version for the A7, A11, and A13 chips. As others have mentioned, Apple has never had two different chip designs (5nm and 3nm) in the same generation so this rumor might be for M3 instead.

It's too early to release M2 Pro/Max this year considering we just got M1 Ultra a few months ago. Apple is also still struggling to ship out the current MBP and Mac Studio, so releasing a new one this year would be insulting to those who waited for months for their computers to arrive. If it's going to be 3nm and releasing next year, might as well put them in the M3 family.

The only question I have seems to be the most elusive one of all from what it appears...and that is simply whether or not the M2 Mac mini is going to finally support dual 4k Thunderbolt 3/4 display output?

The fact that the M1 Mac mini doesn't is such a massive disappointment and missed opportunity considering that M1 MacBooks do and so too does the Intel version. I picked up 2 LG Ultrafine 4k 23.7 inch monitors recently, not really thinking or realising that the M1 Mac mini couldn't do this. They both operate via thunderbolt and whilst they look amazing and work brilliantly with my Mac mini, in order to connect the 2nd monitor I have to cheat by using a HDMI to DP adapter connected to a DP to Thunderbolt bidirectional cable and unfortunately this isn't the cleanest of methods and possesses a few inconveniences such as an occasional flicker, not being able to use the USB-C sockets for down streaming and not being able to control brightness etc (as there as no buttons on the monitor itself).

I am however keen to put up with this in the hopes the M2 Mac mini will allow dual display and/or daisychaining and then I can simply sell and upgrade my M1 Mac mini.

Fingers crossed eh!

I wonder if in a near future, Tesla androids will be getting along with Google androids and Apple androids? I can’t imagine people in this forum arguing why Apple Androids are better with their M2345 chips.

The rumors are that they will produce an M2 Pro Mac mini. That will undoubtedly support at least two monitors. It’s unlikely the M2 Mac mini will, simply because the controllers are built into the chip. If one model of the M2 doesn’t support dual monitors, neither will any of the others. Likely the M2 will replace the current M1 Mac mini while the M2 Pro will replace the still-for-sale Intel mini.
