HomePod is a "wearable"?
You heard it here first -- Apple is working on Smart Hats!

I have wanted to like this product since day one, but I still can't get over the square form factor. Why won't they make other watch models or at least change the shape of it? The iphone didn't stay the same shape over its lifetime. Why isn't apple approaching this product w/ the same intent? Oh well...until then I will keep rockin my Suunto.

Because the Apple Watch is a WRIST COMPUTER, not a watch! If wearing a watch is more important to you than wearing a wrist computer, sure, your Suunto is a better choice.

Your argument is basically the equivalent of "I could tap out phone numbers really fast on my Motorola RAZR; why doesn't Apple sell iPhones with a number pad?"

You are waiting for something that is never, ever going to happen. People who want to upgrade the innards of their computers represent .00000000000000001% of computer buyers. You are not in their target market. As for electronic waste related to computers Apple's not the problem as their products last for years and then are sold and used by another person. Your 17" MBP proves that. Try using a 5 year old notebook from any of the PC manufacturers.

You couldn't be wrong more.

Let's see Apple release 2 models. One that can be repaired and the current model that can't be repaired.
Keep the prices the same as it's complete nonsense to claim a repaired model should cost more.
Nobody will buy the soldered design if they're offered another option and you'll see the exact opposite of what you are claiming.

You really don't get what you're defending.

When someone buys a secondhand product it would be great to upgrade its features. You do know Apple is still selling Macs with just 128GB. 128GB is hardly enough these days let along in 5 years time. Apple has things soldered because they can make more profits that way not because that makes them create better products. ;)

And my 17" MacBook Pro is still usable NOT thanks to Apple. I had to hack and patch the laptop in order to get the latest MacOS working. If I didn't I had to spent at least 4500,- on a new MacBook Pro which specs that are doable for the next 9 years if it wants to beat my 9 year old MBP. All because Apple had to fix something that wasn't broken. ;)

Source that percentage please. Lol. 😛
